In their own words
Yalla Video
Yalla Video is a desktop app for downloading video and other media from more than 1,000 sites. Listed sources include YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Vimeo, Twitch, Reddit, and Dailymotion. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and supports video resolutions up to 8K. Downloads can be saved as MP4 or MKV video, MP3, M4A, WAV, Opus, or FLAC audio, and SRT, VTT, ASS, or LRC subtitles. The app can download playlists and channels in batches, handle up to eight simultaneous downloads, and pause, resume, or retry them. Subtitles can also be burned into video. Other tools include a built-in browser, clipboard link detection, a scheduler, searchable history, proxy and browser-cookie support, tray operation, and notifications. The free plan is free and includes installation without sign-up, up to 8K quality, and up to eight concurrent downloads. The privacy policy says the company collects account and usage data, including download events, and uses a locally stored device UUID for per-device limits.
