For slow-tempo AI music, Rewind AI Beat Maker is the clearest fit when you want an 80 BPM slow/R&B beat or mellow lo-fi idea; Loudly is a stronger alternative when you want to set BPM while generating downtempo or lo-fi tracks. The available details do not establish either tool as a specialist in classical adagio or orchestral writing, so check each vendor’s site for support for specific instruments, arrangements, or an “adagio” prompt.
What Slow-Tempo Music Needs From A Generator
Slow music needs room for notes and phrases to linger. For a beat, a restrained pulse, sparse percussion, and space between accents can keep the track from feeling busier than its tempo suggests. For an adagio instrumental, sustained lines and gradual changes may matter more than a strong groove. Those are useful creative goals, not documented features of either product.

Give a generator a concrete tempo and describe the feel, density, and intended use. For example: “80 BPM, mellow slow R&B, sparse drums, warm chords, spacious mix, instrumental background.” If the result is too busy, ask for fewer percussion hits and more space. Rewind documents an 80 slow/R&B option and BPM controls; Loudly documents BPM control and downtempo and lo-fi styles. Neither entry confirms that these exact prompt phrases or arrangement instructions are supported.
Best AI Music Generators For Adagio And Slow Tempos
1. Rewind AI Beat Maker — Best For An 80 BPM Slow/R&B Starting Point
Rewind is the most directly supported choice for a slow beat: its listed styles include “80 (slow / R&B)” and mellow, jazzy lo-fi, and it offers BPM controls, lyrics input, and file uploads. It is a prompt-based beat maker with web, iOS, and Android access; it also works in mobile browsers and adapts to screen size.

Try a prompt such as “80 BPM slow R&B, mellow lo-fi texture, sparse beat, instrumental, relaxed late-night mood.” Treat that as a starting brief, not a guaranteed preset or arrangement. MIDI, stem export, and arrangement workflows are not documented, so check the vendor’s site if you need those for a DAW or a longer composition.
There is a free plan: anonymous users get 2,500 tokens per day, free accounts get 5,000 tokens per day, and the listed paid plan starts at $5 per month. The product states that AI Beat Maker content can be used for personal or commercial work. For a specific project, check the current terms, especially if you provide lyrics or uploaded audio.

2. Loudly — Best For BPM-Controlled Downtempo Tracks
Loudly generates original tracks online and lists downtempo and lo-fi among its styles. Its generator includes a BPM control, and the product page lists WAV, MP3, stems, and samples as download options. That makes it a useful candidate when you want a slow electronic or lo-fi backing track and need downloadable parts; specific slow-tempo ranges and adagio orchestral instruments are not established.
Try a brief such as “slow downtempo, low BPM, sparse percussion, soft evolving texture, instrumental background.” Set the BPM to suit your intended pace where the generator allows it, then check whether the result’s density and phrasing fit. The free generated-track limit is 30 seconds, and licensing rights depend on plan terms; consult Loudly’s current pricing and licensing terms for your intended use.
