Overview

Amply links eligibility checks, donor steps, and nonprofit-side tracking in one matching-gift workflow. Donors can begin a match on a donation form or return to it from the receipt, which gives organizations another chance to prompt a donor after the gift. Amply checks employer criteria such as donation minimums and nonprofit classifications, but an eligible gift is not the same as a completed match.

The company-policy database covers more than 4,000 matching programs and is updated with new companies weekly. That breadth can help nonprofits serving donors at many employers; it cannot remove employer-specific submission requirements. When an employer requires its own portal, donors must record the gift there themselves.

Key features

Donor workflow and support

Donors can use auto-filled electronic forms with e-signature or submit through their company portal. Amply offers automated email outreach, while its customer service team can follow up with donors and companies during the process. That support can reduce the nonprofit's follow-up burden, but it does not make every submission fully automatic.

Tracking, reporting, and integrations

The nonprofit portal provides match statuses, analytics, revenue and activity reports, and matching trends. These tools make it possible to monitor progress and assess match revenue rather than treat each request as an isolated task. Amply integrates with fundraising platforms including Classy, OneCause, Maguire, and MobileCause, and partners with CRMs, cause-marketing platforms, and rewards programs. APIs and webhooks support custom integrations, with setup that can include partner activations, documentation, and sample code.

Security and privacy

Amply says it does not store payment information, hosts servers privately, and encrypts all data. Its privacy policy says it does not sell or rent personal information and retains donor data for three years after the donor's last gift. That retention period is worth weighing for organizations setting their own donor-data policies.

Pricing

Plan	Price	What it means
Freemium	Free	Feature Limited, with no flat fees; a way to start without a subscription, but with reduced functionality.
Standard	5.00 USD per contact	Everything Included; the per-contact model makes volume relevant to the cost.
Custom	Custom pricing	Custom package, typically for nonprofits with donation volume of $5M+.

The free plan suits nonprofits that want to begin with limited features and no flat fee. Standard is the more complete option for organizations that need the full feature set; its per-contact charge means the total depends on contact count. Larger nonprofits with donation volume of $5M+ are the stated audience for custom packages. Amply's pricing model is freemium.

Platforms

Amply supports web and API access. Its described service centers on a donation-page workflow, nonprofit portal, integrations, and APIs rather than a downloadable desktop or mobile app.

Who it's for

Amply is aimed at nonprofits of all sizes, including organizations running a specific company campaign or fundraiser without a formal matching program. It is a stronger fit for teams that can connect it to their fundraising or CRM systems and want visibility into matching activity. Organizations seeking a completely hands-off process should account for the donor's role in employer-portal submissions.

Pros and cons

Broad matching-program coverage: a database of more than 4,000 programs, with weekly additions, can help nonprofits identify potential matches across employers.
Connected workflow: donation-form or receipt entry points, eligibility checks, email outreach, and reporting bring multiple match steps together.
Integration options: named fundraising-platform integrations plus CRM partnerships, APIs, and webhooks give nonprofits routes to fit the service into existing systems.
Donor action can remain necessary: employers that require portal submission leave the donor responsible for recording the gift.
Standard pricing scales by contact: the $5.00 USD per contact price makes contact volume central to cost, while the free tier is feature-limited.

Alternatives

For a broader nonprofit fundraising suite with a free-forever plan, donation forms, fundraising pages, events, auctions, and donor management, consider Givebutter; its stated free plan is free, billed monthly, and it also offers a free trial. If a paid web and mobile option is the priority, Anthology Encompass is another candidate.

BetterWorld is worth considering for a free web-based option with 0% platform fee on its Free plan, while its Flex plan adds a 2.2–5% platform fee; standard payment processing fees apply to both. For a nonprofit seeking a fundraising suite with an Essentials option designed for annual revenue under $1 million and zero subscription or setup costs, compare GoFundMe Pro.

Whitelabel may suit organizations looking for a per-gift model with no monthly fees, setup fees, or contracts; card and bank costs are passed through at cost. For a platform with a Starter plan at 9.00 USD per month, a 2% platform fee, and one admin account, consider GivingFuel. Greater Giving is another option to compare for event-focused fundraising. Organizations that prefer public code and self-hosting with their own payment gateway can consider Better Giving.

Verdict

Amply is a good fit for nonprofits that want matching-gift eligibility, donor follow-up, and revenue reporting connected to their fundraising operation, especially when its integrations match their stack. The free plan offers a low-commitment starting point, while Standard provides the complete feature set at a per-contact price. Look elsewhere if your priority is a fully automatic submission process: donors must still handle employer-portal entries when required.
