ActivityInfo
ActivityInfo is information-management software for partner reporting, monitoring and evaluation, impact measurement, cash voucher assistance, and case management in humanitarian aid, emergencies, and international development. It supports online and offline collection, mobile data capture, collection links, multilingual forms, and validation rules. A no-code relational database builder adds calculated fields, deduplication and merging, record history, and audit logs. Dashboards, maps, pivot tables, charts, and a report designer support analysis. Connections include Power BI, Tableau, ArcGIS, QGIS, Python, R, REST APIs, and webhooks; an MCP server can connect Claude, ChatGPT, and Gemini to databases. Buyers can use hosted SaaS or self-managed deployment. Permissions can be set by folder, form, subform, or record, with single sign-on through Azure Active Directory, Google Workspace, and Okta. ActivityInfo is paid from €545 a year, offers a 30-day trial, and has no free plan. Android, web, API, Linux, Windows, and self-hosted access are listed.
OpenSPP SP-MIS
OpenSPP SP-MIS manages social protection programs from beneficiary enrollment through assistance delivery and payment disbursement. It supports routine and emergency cash or in-kind interventions, including vouchers and food or non-food distributions. Enrollment workflows can use configurable approval chains, while eligibility rules use Common Expression Language and can be built in the visual Logic Studio. Teams can calculate entitlements, run payment cycles, reconcile payments, and distribute through bank transfers, mobile money, or manual methods. Service point tools cover location and capacity, distribution scheduling, attendance, and inventory links. A grievance mechanism supports complaint submission and tracking through resolution, with service-level management and escalation rules. OpenSPP also includes outcome tracking, participant portals, forms and surveys, and reporting dashboards. Integrations include REST APIs using OAuth 2.0 and ODK Central imports. The software is LGPL-3.0 and has no licence fees. Its security guidance describes role-based access control and field-level encryption among layered measures. Docker is available for evaluation, development, and production, though the quick-start setup is intended for evaluation and development and recommends more production configuration. Debian/Ubuntu packages and a Windows installer are marked as coming soon.
