Bing Webmaster Tools
Bing Webmaster Tools helps site owners examine and improve how their pages appear in Bing search results. Search Performance reports clicks, impressions, and keyword phrases for up to six months of data. URL Inspection covers crawling, index status, SEO errors, and markup, and can display a page as Bingbot sees it. Site Scan checks for common technical SEO issues; the Backlinks report lists referring pages, domains, and anchor texts and supports comparison with up to two other sites. Sitemaps can be submitted as XML Sitemap, RSS, Atom, or plain text URL files. IndexNow lets webmasters notify Bing and other named search engines about new or updated pages. Its AI Performance public preview provides citation insights for Microsoft Copilot, Bing AI-generated summaries, and select partner integrations. Sites require ownership verification. The free service is available on web and through an API, with a limit of 1,000 sites per account. Bing says its legacy SOAP and POX APIs will be retired on August 31, 2026, and directs users to REST APIs.
