Ambercite
Ambercite is a web and API platform for finding patents related to one or more starting patents. Ambercite Ai uses deep-learning and network algorithms to score and rank similar patents from a database described as containing over 106 million patents and 175 million citations. AmberScope maps and clusters similar or important patents that cite one another. The listed applications include prior-art searching, licensing, instant patent landscaping and portfolio benchmarking. Users can run it alongside existing patent-search databases or as a standalone tool. An API is available to patent offices and non-competing industry players. The maker identifies corporations, patent examination offices, IP firms, analysts and searchers as users. AmberScope is also aimed at R&D teams and business owners who are unfamiliar with Boolean parameters or technical class codes. A 21-day trial provides both products without a card or payment and allows 20 searches. Trial searches accept up to three patents, show up to 25 results, obscure five more randomly, and cannot be exported to Excel. Paid subscriptions are annual, with pricing based on organization details.
FindIP
FindIP provides patent search through a browser playground and a REST API for use in other services. It searches published patents from the US, China, Japan, Korea, and Europe; full-text coverage begins in 2001, except China, where it begins in 2010. Semantic search matches text by meaning, while drawing search finds visually similar patent illustrations. Sequence search covers similar DNA, RNA, or protein sequences. Image and sequence results can be reranked by topic. Queries may be written in English, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, or German across all five jurisdictions. FindIP says each result is a publication in its database that can be checked by publication number. Its MCP connection supports Claude Desktop and Web and ChatGPT during beta. The Free plan costs nothing and includes 30 search credits and all APIs. Basic costs $45 a month, billed excluding tax, and includes 300 monthly credits. Text searches use one credit; image search, sequence search, and trend analysis use two. The listed rate limit is 60 requests per minute on Free, Basic, and Pro; Enterprise has a custom limit.
