Overview

Mixdesk brings conversations from WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok Business, LINE, Telegram, web chat, in-app messaging and email into one workspace. A unified social inbox, comment management, team assignment and reply automation make it more than a collection of channel connections: teams can coordinate replies and route work across them.

The company behind Mixdesk is Beautiful Interaction International Co., Limited, headquartered in Hong Kong. It says it was founded in 2014 and launched the Mixdesk global brand in 2024.

Key features

Routing and automation

Conversations can be routed to a team, an agent or an AI Agent. Automated follow-ups, broadcasts and team workflows add options for handling recurring work. That breadth is useful when several people share customer-facing channels; teams that only need a basic inbox may find less reason to adopt the additional automation.

AI Agents and translation

AI Agents answer from approved knowledge, qualify leads and take configured actions, then can hand a conversation to a human with context. Mixdesk says its agents understand and reply in more than 27 languages, with real-time two-way translation—a practical advantage for teams serving customers across language boundaries.

AI messages are charged separately from conversations. The Free and Essential plans include no AI messages, so teams relying on agent responses need Pro or Expert and must account for metered usage as well as the plan price.

Integrations, privacy and support

Coze and Dify integrations, plus open APIs, SDKs and webhooks, offer several ways to connect websites, apps and internal systems. Mixdesk says it uses encryption, anonymization, access controls and security audits. Conversation content used in features powered by OpenAI GPT may be sent to OpenAI for processing after explicit user consent, a material consideration for teams setting their data policies.

Enterprise capabilities include private deployment options, a dedicated delivery and onboarding team, 24/7 priority support and SLAs.

Pricing

All plans include unlimited teammates, with no per-seat fee. That makes the listed tiers easier to assess for growing teams, though connected-account, translation and AI-message quotas still shape the practical cost. Third-party channel charges, including WhatsApp fees, are billed separately by providers.

Plan	Price	Included limits and features
Free	Free	10 conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 100 translation characters and no AI messages.
Essential	49.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited conversations, 10 connected channel accounts, 10K translation characters and no AI messages.
Pro	199.00 USD per month, billed monthly	Unlimited conversations, 5,000 AI messages/month, 20 connected channel accounts and 100K translation characters.
Expert	Custom pricing	Unlimited conversations, 30,000 AI messages/month, custom connected channel accounts and 500K translation characters.

Free is useful for a small trial of the shared inbox, but 10 conversations and 100 translation characters are restrictive, and it has no AI messages. Essential removes the conversation cap for $49.00 USD per month while retaining the 10-account ceiling and excluding AI, so it suits teams that need more conversation volume but not agent usage. Pro at $199.00 USD per month is the first listed plan with AI messages; its 5,000-message monthly allowance and doubled account quota are better aligned with active teams. Expert is the higher-quota option for deployments needing custom account counts, with custom pricing.

Platforms

Mixdesk is available on web, iOS and Android, and offers an API. Mobile apps give teams a way to work beyond the web interface, while the API supports connection to other systems.

Who it's for

Mixdesk is best suited to global sales, support and ecommerce teams that need to manage customer conversations across multiple channels, distribute them among teammates and serve customers in different languages. Unlimited teammates across every plan are a particular advantage for shared support work. It is a weaker fit for teams whose needs exceed the Free caps but do not justify paid pricing, or for teams that need AI responses on Free or Essential.

Pros and cons

Broad channel coverage: messaging, web chat, in-app messaging and email can share one workspace, with social inbox and comment management.
No per-seat fees: unlimited teammates on every plan make team size less of a pricing constraint.
Useful global-team tools: 27+ language understanding and replies, real-time translation and routing to people or AI address multilingual workflows.
AI costs need planning: Free and Essential include no AI messages, while AI usage and provider channel fees sit outside the conversation allowance.
Free is sharply capped: 10 conversations and 100 translation characters leave little room for sustained use.

Alternatives

For lead qualification, consider Lead Qualification Software; for directing leads, see Lead Routing Software. Teams prioritizing social-channel support can compare Social Customer Service Software.

Apollo is a freemium alternative with a free plan, API access and sequences, making it a better starting point for readers focused on those tools rather than a multichannel customer-engagement workspace. LimeCall is a paid option with a low-priced phone plan for teams centered on inbound and outbound calling. Calendly offers a free plan with one event type and one calendar connection, so it is the more relevant choice for straightforward scheduling. Factors.ai is an alternative to consider for tracked-user and company identification quotas. RevenueHero offers a booking-focused paid plan with unlimited meetings and form submissions. inSale.ai has a paid Launch plan with AI and outreach credits, one team seat and one AI agent. ColdCalls.ai is another alternative. Factors.ai is also listed as an alternative.

Verdict

Choose Mixdesk if your sales, support or ecommerce team needs a shared home for many customer channels, flexible routing and multilingual assistance without per-seat pricing. Its main advantage is the combination of channel breadth and team coordination; look elsewhere if you need AI on a lower tier, substantial free usage or a predictable total that excludes separate AI and provider fees.
