Assignar

Assignar is construction operations software for contractors coordinating work between office teams and fieldworkers. Teams can plan orders and allocate workers, equipment, and crews by day; field teams can submit site diaries, quantities, timesheets, and other job updates through digital forms. The service is available on the web and through Android and iOS apps, and lists project scheduling and project financials among its capabilities. Connected integrations include Acumatica, Sage, Foundation, Xero, QuickBooks Online, MYOB AccountRight, Workbench, simPRO, and Employment Hero. Public API access is available as an add-on, with endpoints for scheduling and time-tracking data. Assignar says its data is encrypted in transit using TLS and at rest on its servers; its Trust Center lists SOC 2 Type 1 and ISO 27001. The company says it was founded in 2014 to serve self-performing general contractors and subcontractors, and that it serves more than 800 contractors globally. Pricing is tailored to team needs and available on request. Assignar says its team guides customers through setup and offers a demo. Scheduling must be enabled for an organization and added to its plan.

Workyard

Workyard is a construction operations and workforce management platform for specialty contractors and self-performing general contractors. Its GPS time clock records addresses visited, time on site, driving trips, mileage, and travel time. Location collection is limited to clocked-in time and stops at clock-out; location is hidden during breaks. Teams can require time to be assigned to projects or cost codes, with labor costs calculated at clock-out. Workers can clock in by mobile app, shared iPad kiosk, or automatic geofence; supervisors can track crews. Starter includes GPS-verified time, breaks and overtime, timesheet reports, and notes, receipts, and photos. Pro adds office-to-field scheduling, tasks, checklists, and project cost reporting. Autopilot adds AI timekeeping, compliance tools, and API access. Workyard connects with payroll and accounting services including ADP, Gusto, QuickBooks, Sage, NetSuite, Paychex, Paycor, and Rippling. It runs on web, iOS, and Android. There is no free plan; a 14-day trial is offered without a credit card. Starter is $6 a month, billed annually; monthly billing is also available.
