In their own words
Auslearn
Auslearn is a mobile app for learning Australian Sign Language, or Auslan, through video lessons and practice. Each sign is demonstrated on video by a Deaf signer. Its path contains 61 lessons across 12 units and more than 250 signs on video. Visual quizzes provide immediate feedback, while review brings back signs from recent lessons. Learners can also use daily practice, streaks, achievements, daily and weekly challenges, and mirror practice. Dictionary lookup and progress tracking are included, and the app is available on iOS and Android phones and tablets. The first three units are free; Auslearn Premium is listed at $3.99 a month as an in-app purchase, with duration and billing terms not stated. The app is aimed at beginners and people practising between classes, but its maker says it does not replace learning from Deaf teachers or signing with the community. Group billing, teacher progress overviews, classroom tools, and industry-specific signs are being explored and are not built yet. Users can try guest mode without an email.
