In their own words
Bar Cop
Bar Cop is web-based inventory and management software for independent bars and restaurants. It tracks bar and kitchen counts, usage, variance, costs, pour costs, deliveries, and weekly operating figures; order sheets fill automatically. Its back-office tools cover sales, cost and labor reporting, audits, scheduling, cash control, menu costing, event bookings, books, and forecasting. Users import point-of-sale reports as CSV or Excel files, including reports from Toast, Square, Lightspeed, Aloha, and Clover; no POS connection or API key is required. One subscription covers the team, with permissions by section and no per-seat fees. Each bar has a separate subscription, though locations can be managed from one login. Bar Cop offers one version with all features. It costs $149 a month per bar, or 124 /mo when billed yearly at $1,488. A 30-day trial requires no credit card. The maker describes it as an operational tool, not accounting, payroll, legal, or tax software.
Dishboard
Dishboard is restaurant management software that brings together information about costs, performance and profit opportunities. Its AI can extract invoice details, categorise expenses and accept invoices from email, a phone camera, PDFs or other files. It calculates food costs from purchase data, groups them by supply category and tracks item prices over time to flag ingredient increases and margin risks. A food-to-sales ratio shows how food costs relate to sales. Dishboard combines POS, invoice and workforce-management data in a profit-and-loss view that updates after transactions. Listed integrations include Planday, Toast, Xero, Tevalis, Bizimply, Lightspeed, S4labour and Square. The service is available on the web and through iOS and Android apps. For UK venues, Dishboard says its bank links are read-only and cannot initiate payments; it also handles 0% and 20% food VAT splits and offers exports for Making Tax Digital filings. The maker says setup usually takes 30–60 minutes. Pricing is paid and provided on request, with monthly pricing recommended after considering venue size and invoice volume.
