In their own words

bcs

BCS combines automated certificate processing with compliance review to help organizations collect insurance documents, check coverage, and track renewals. Its COI extractor scans uploaded certificates and presents color-coded findings and deficiencies in real time. Users can set requirements and risk categories for vendors and tenants, and track documents such as W-9s and contracts. The platform sends renewal requests to vendors and their agents before policies expire. Vendors can submit documents through the mobile app without a BCS login. Additional tools include vendor onboarding, compliance analytics, automated RFPs and job postings, and in-app messaging. BCS names Yardi, Procore, and MRI as integrations and offers an open API for custom integrations. It is available on Android, iOS, and web. The permanent free plan supports up to 25 vendors without a credit card. Self-Service costs $0.95 a month per vendor, with price dependent on vendor volume. Full-Service costs $17.80 a year per vendor and requires a minimum 10,000 USD annual spend.

SubDoc

SubDoc is a web portal for tracking contractor certificates of insurance and business licenses in vendor compliance workflows. Its AI reads uploaded certificates to extract policy numbers, carriers, dates, and coverage limits, then fills review fields. Vendors and brokers can submit documents through secure links without accounts or vendor fees. Teams can preview PDFs, compare uploaded limits with requirements, and approve, reject, or issue reasoned waivers. SubDoc tracks document expirations and sends renewal reminders; policy dates can also sync to Google Calendar across workspaces. Pro and Advanced include QuickBooks and Sage accounting exports, webhooks, and Zapier integration. Those plans can also flag invoices for payment holds when a policy has expired or an endorsement is missing. The free Starter plan is free and allows three tracked vendors, one workspace, one team seat, one project, five invoices per month, and 100 MB of storage. Pro is listed at $14 a month for the first three months, then $20 a month. SubDoc says documents are encrypted at rest with AES-256 and data in transit uses TLS 1.3.
