Overview

Beds24 brings direct booking, channel management and daily property work into one service. Its breadth may spare operators from joining separate booking and operations tools, but the cost of the channel manager and integrations must be considered separately from the entry plan. The terms restrict use to commercial customers, ruling it out for private, personal use.

Beds24 is made by a company founded in 2005 and headquartered in Berlin, Germany. It guarantees 99% average service availability annually, excluding agreed maintenance periods.

Key features

Bookings and distribution

The customizable, mobile-friendly booking page supports commission-free direct reservations. For external distribution, two-way XML connections export inventory and rates and import bookings; iCal synchronization is also available. This combination covers direct and channel bookings, though operators who depend on the channel manager should account for its separate price.

Property operations and automation

Housekeeping, guest management, room assignments and front-desk functions extend Beds24 beyond reservations. Cleaning management, automated messaging, dynamic pricing and payment processing are also offered. Together these functions make it a broader operational option than a channel-only tool, although the hostel plan's price alone does not cover every capability.

Apps, integrations and API

The iOS and Android apps let staff manage bookings, arrivals and departures, availability, and Airbnb and Booking.com messages. An integration marketplace spans accounting, business intelligence, compliance, distribution, guest experience and property operations; API V2 gives third parties access to accounts, properties, bookings and inventory, with read-only and read/write token options. These are useful routes for connected operations, but integrations are priced separately.

Security and support

Beds24 says it uses 256-bit SSL encryption and regular backups, and describes itself as a SaaS data processor compliant with GDPR. Ticket support, forum access, self-onboarding tools and regular webinars are included; personal onboarding and online training are optional. Operators needing guided setup should weigh the optional training against the included self-service support.

Pricing

Beds24 is paid, with no free plan and a free trial. Its pricing note starts at €15.50/mo. The defined hostel plan, “Basic monthly fee for a hostel with one dorm and one bed,” costs 15.90 EUR per month, billed monthly, on a pay-as-you-go basis with no minimum term. It covers one dorm and one bed; channel management and integrations cost extra. That makes it a narrow entry point for a small hostel, not an all-in price for operators who need distribution connections or marketplace integrations.

Commercial customers should compare the base fee with their required add-ons before choosing. The no-minimum-term arrangement limits commitment, while the absence of a free plan means the trial is the route to evaluate the service before paying.

Platforms

Beds24 runs on the web and has iOS and Android apps, alongside API access. The apps cover key booking and arrival tasks, while the web service and API support broader property and connected-system workflows.

Who it's for

Beds24 is best suited to commercial accommodation operators who want direct bookings alongside channel distribution and property tasks such as housekeeping and room assignment. A small hostel can start with the one-dorm, one-bed plan, provided its needs fit that scope and it budgets separately for channel management and integrations. It is a poor fit for private consumers, and less compelling for buyers seeking a single price that already includes every central capability.

Pros and cons

Broad operational coverage: direct booking, distribution, housekeeping and front-desk functions sit in one service.
Commission-free direct bookings: the customizable, mobile-friendly booking page supports reservations without booking-engine commission.
Flexible connectivity: two-way XML, iCal, API access and a wide-ranging integration marketplace support different distribution and system needs.
Entry price has a narrow scope: the 15.90 EUR per month hostel plan covers one dorm and one bed, with channel management and integrations priced separately.
Commercial use only: the terms exclude consumers managing a property for private purposes.
Guided onboarding costs extra: self-onboarding, ticket support, forum access and webinars are included, but personal onboarding and online training are optional.

Alternatives

For another paid channel-management option with web, iOS, Android and API platforms, consider Vertical Booking. Cloudbeds Channel Manager is another paid option with no free plan and web and mobile platforms: its Flex plan includes PMS, payments and marketplace but requires buyers to bring their own distribution, while One includes a channel manager partner. CultSwitch uses commission-based pricing, making it worth considering for buyers comparing a commission model with Beds24's monthly hostel fee. RateTiger Channel Manager is another paid, web-based option.

For a broader category comparison, browse Hotel Channel Management, Vacation Rental Channel Manager Software, Short-Term Rental Management Software, Vacation Rental Website Builders or Property Management Software. Other options include Oracle Payments Cloud Service, AxisRooms Channel Manager, Octorate and eZee Centrix.

Verdict

Choose Beds24 if you are a commercial accommodation operator seeking direct bookings, channel distribution and property operations in one system, and are prepared to price channel management and integrations separately. Its strongest case is the range of work it can cover, backed by web, mobile and API access. Look elsewhere if you need private-use software or expect the €15.90 per month hostel plan to include channel management and integrations.
