In their own words
BenchApp
BenchApp helps sports teams manage schedules, rosters, attendance, communication, player stats, and team finances. It is aimed at coaches, captains, commissioners, parents, and players, and supports hockey, soccer, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, lacrosse, pickleball, golf, and other sports. Teams can collect RSVPs by email or text and set automatic reminders. Communication tools include team, group, and private messages, polls, bulletins, line-ups, photos, and GIF sharing. Payment features track fees and expenses, accept online credit-card payments, and send overdue reminders. BenchApp says Stripe processes payments and subscriptions and that it does not access card details. Players can join, RSVP, and message for free on every plan; text RSVP replies need neither an app nor an account. It is available on Android, iOS, and web. The Free plan includes unlimited rosters, scheduling, RSVP tracking, team messaging, player stats, and payment tracking. PRO costs $9 a month; league plans cost $10 a month or $100 a year.
LeagueLineup
LeagueLineup provides websites and team or league management tools for youth and amateur sports organizations. Each site includes free online registration forms, while teams can publish game and practice schedules, calendars, and special events. The service offers unlimited photo albums and team and player statistics for baseball, basketball, football, hockey, lacrosse, soccer, and volleyball. Online registration can use optional payment processing. Free websites are supported by sponsors; the Go Pro upgrade adds text alerts, email blasts, additional disk space, ad removal, and a custom site header. My LeagueLineup lets users bookmark sites and receive schedule reminders, and parents can combine schedules from multiple LeagueLineup sites. Schedule pages can be subscribed to through calendar programs such as Google Calendar or Outlook. LeagueLineup supports Android, iOS, and web, and the product page states there are no setup or activation fees and no contracts. It was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in Plano, Texas.
