In their own words
Bertha AI
Bertha AI described itself as a tool for producing website content, articles, blog posts, sales copy, and landing pages, with long-form writing and more than 30 creative prompts in its legacy Pro plan. Other listed capabilities included SEO features, multilingual support, brand voice controls, team collaboration, and image generation. Legacy features also included bulk alternative-text and image-title creation, as well as WordPress support and product descriptions for WooCommerce and Easy Digital Downloads. The current status changes the practical picture: Bertha AI says it has closed to all users effective immediately and rescinded all licenses, including its Chrome Extension. The closure notice apologized to 15,000 free users and 13 paid users and said paid users would be contacted about pro-rata refunds. The legacy pricing page said the WordPress plugin was deprecated and no longer worked with the latest WordPress version. The listed current plan details show Free at free and Pro at $20 a month, billed monthly; however, those plan listings should be read alongside the closure notice, not as evidence of current availability.
Byword
Byword generates SEO-oriented articles, researches keywords, and writes in a customer’s brand voice. It supports long-form writing, 50 content templates, multilingual content, team collaboration, and SEO features. For existing content, it can analyze a URL and create a refresh, rewrite, outperform, or repurpose version. The homepage lists GPT-5.4, Claude Opus 4.6, and Gemini 3.1 Pro. Byword says it can publish to WordPress, Webflow, and four other CMSs. Its integrations documentation names WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, HubSpot, Medium, Notion, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, webhooks, and API; integrations require a paid plan, and multiple platforms can be connected at once. It can submit published URLs to Google’s Indexing API when the customer connects that API. A REST API reference and MCP server setup are documented. The free plan includes five articles with no credit card required. Paid plans start at $99 a month for 25 articles; other monthly tiers include 299.00 USD for 80 and 999.00 USD for 300.
