In their own words
Blue Canvas
Blue Canvas provides Salesforce version control, metadata backup, and release management. It automatically backs up metadata changes from sandbox, staging, and production environments to Git. Teams can compare orgs, resolve merge conflicts and dependencies, manage approvals, and protect branches. Integrations listed include Jira, Azure DevOps, Slack, GitHub, Bitbucket, Azure Repos, and CI/CD tools. The REST API can extend workflows with quality gates, code reviews, automated checks, and two-person release approvals. Blue Canvas describes a Provar integration that launches automated functional tests and displays reports in the product, with interested customers directed to ask about the beta. The Enterprise product includes an exportable audit trail for SOX and CAB reviews. Blue Canvas says it is SOC 2 certified and conducts regular third-party penetration tests. A free plan and 15-day trial are listed; CPQ Deployer costs $300/mo billed yearly. Enterprise pricing is by custom quote, with a one-time $3,000 setup fee. The platform is available through web and API. Its repositories are privately hosted on AWS, and Blue Canvas says it does not offer on-premise deployment.
Flagsmith
Flagsmith manages feature flags and remote configuration for web, mobile, and server-side applications. Teams can target releases by environment, individual user, segment, or percentage, and split users across variations for A/B and multivariate tests. Remote configuration lets teams change properties such as text, colors, and behavior without deploying new code. Deployment options include hosted cloud, private cloud, and self-hosted. Its listed integrations include Amplitude, Datadog, GitHub, GitLab, Grafana, Jira, Mixpanel, OpenFeature, Segment, Sentry, Slack, and Terraform; environment-level webhooks can send events to a team's infrastructure. The maker says core feature-flag functionality is open source and most of the product uses the BSD-3 licence. The Free plan includes 50,000 monthly requests and one team member; after exceeding the request limit, users have seven days to upgrade before action is taken. Paid plans start at $40 a month, billed 12 months paid up front. Platforms include Android, API, iOS, Linux, macOS, self-hosted, web, and Windows.
