In their own words
BoxBoard
BoxBoard helps coaches and gyms schedule workouts, track member progress, and support communities running daily functional workouts. Its journal brings personal records, scores, and past workouts together, while the AI Programming Scheduler creates a balanced week that users can edit. Coaches can paste a workout webpage link and review the extracted title, scoring, and details before logging or scheduling it. Membership plans can accept card and Apple Pay payments through Stripe, and members can manage cancellation or resumption. Each membership transaction incurs Stripe processing of about 2.9% + 30¢ plus a 2% BoxBoard fee. The service is available on iOS and the web. Basic Garage Gym is free for gyms with up to five members and includes scheduling one workout. RX Plan costs $25 a month and includes unlimited members, unlimited workout scheduling, AI-powered workouts and chat, member check-in, class support, and membership billing. BoxBoard also offers a browser-based TV leaderboard that refreshes automatically and spreadsheet or CSV imports with a preview.
Revel
Revel is an open-source event management platform for communities, clubs, and independent venues. Organizers can offer free or paid tickets, create ticket tiers, reserve seats, and scan QR codes at entry. Custom questionnaires can screen attendees before an event address is revealed. Community functions include potluck coordination, memberships, class passes, and members-only events. Venue tools include a seat-map designer, zone pricing, and QR door scanning. Event listings, individual events, and event series can be embedded on external websites using a script, iframe, or oEmbed. Listed integrations include Stripe payments, Google OAuth, optional OpenAI questionnaire evaluation, Telegram notifications, and Apple Wallet downloads. Self-hosting is MIT-licensed, with Docker deployment and a REST API documented through OpenAPI. Self-hosting costs nothing; hosted processing charges 3% + €0.50 only when Revel processes a payment, while free events cost €0. User data is stored in Germany and not sold.
