Lexpro Accounting
Lexpro Accounting is browser-based cloud accounting software for lawyers and legal practices in South Africa. It maintains trust and business activity on client and general ledger accounts and automates transfers between trust and business sides. Section 86 tools include investment imports, interest automation, bank-charge processing, and reports. Banking functions cover statement imports, cash books, and reconciliations, while VAT processing and reporting are built in. Reports include trust and business trial balances, auditor reports, cash-flow statements, and age analyses; auditor reports can be produced in PDF and Excel. Auditors may receive access to source documents saved directly to ledger entries. Lexpro supplies structured financial data, while auditors compile the final report in the required format. Files and transactions can be imported from other Lexpro modules and spreadsheets. The service requires no server installation and is described as accessible from any device and location. Lexpro says databases are kept on servers inaccessible from the internet, protected by firewalls and passwords, with encrypted communications, and that it follows South Africa’s POPIA. Support is consultant-led, and customer relationships are month to month without long-term contracts. Lexpro says it has operated since 1994. Pricing is available on request.
