BuiltWith
BuiltWith profiles websites to help users research technology adoption, ecommerce activity, web usage trends, and potential sales leads. The platform says it tracks 127,671 web technologies and provides usage lists covering more than 370 million active domains, with over 18 years of usage history available through its plans. BuiltWith offers API access with XML and JSON feeds, browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge, and CRM integrations including Salesforce, HubSpot, Pardot, Zoho CRM, Close.io, and Microsoft Dynamics 365. Individual website lookups are free; the Free plan permits 10 detailed lookups per day. Advanced costs $144 a year. Monthly plans have a one-month minimum and yearly plans a one-year minimum, and plans can be canceled at any time. The maker was founded in 2007 and is based in Sydney, Australia.
StackDetect
StackDetect detects and catalogs technologies used by websites, then lets users search, filter, and export prospect lists based on those technologies. It covers CMS platforms, WordPress plugins, ecommerce apps, analytics, advertising pixels, JavaScript frameworks, CDNs, payment gateways, CRMs, and more. Lead lists group websites by the tools they use for outreach, enrichment, or analysis. Each record includes a hostname, detected technologies and categories, confidence, HTTPS status, and last-seen date. Data comes from public pages through a browser extension and proprietary crawler; private or authenticated content is not accessed. The extension collects visited hostnames and detected technologies, not page content, form data, passwords, or personally identifiable information. Detection depends on public fingerprints and varies by technology; less-visited sites may have data weeks old. The free plan costs nothing and includes 50 technology lookups per month and sample lead lists. Paid plans include bulk exports and advanced filters; Business and Enterprise add CRM enrichment and API keys. Each API lookup uses one credit. Included API credits expire after 60 days; purchased top-ups do not.
