Overview

Schools can define fee heads by class or section, from tuition and term charges to lab, library, sports, exam and maintenance fees. Up to 12 installments per academic year, with custom due dates and grace periods, gives administrators flexibility to match the school calendar; institutions that bill more frequently will hit that ceiling.

Bus-stop assignments feed transport charges into a student’s fee ledger and installment schedule, tying transport administration directly to collection. Schools can apply sibling, staff-child, RTE and merit concessions, as well as custom charges or penalties. Administrators can follow outstanding balances and partial payments, carry arrears into a new academic year and export fee data to Excel.

Key features

Payments and records

The fee page names cash, UPI, cheque and bank transfer as payment methods. Print-ready PDF receipts can include school branding, a UDISE or affiliation number, sequential receipt numbers and payment mode. Those features support routine collection and record-keeping, while the stated payment methods define the scope of the payment workflow.

Access and data controls

Byntix says it uses SSL encryption, role-based access with more than 30 permissions, school-scoped data isolation and Cloudflare-backed infrastructure. Schools can export their data. After the free 2026–27 year, schools that do not subscribe can access data for export for 90 days, an important cutoff to plan around.

Support is offered by email, phone and WhatsApp on weekdays from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM IST, with a stated response time of within 12 hours for inquiries. The pricing page lists a web parent portal and Android apps for administrators, parents and drivers.

Pricing

Byntix is freemium, with no free trial. Starter is free forever for up to 50 students and includes core modules, attendance and fee collection, exams, marks and reports, parent and driver apps, push notifications and priority support. It gives small schools a way to start without a subscription, but the 50-student cap makes it unsuitable as a long-term tier for many growing institutions.

Growth costs ₹3.00 INR per month, billed per student per month; annual billing saves 17%. It includes unlimited students, all 20+ modules, multi-staff role-based access control, priority WhatsApp support and a dedicated account manager. This is the stated route for schools that need the full module set without a student cap.

Unlimited costs ₹2.00 INR per month, billed per student per month for 500+ students, with a volume discount applied. It includes multi-branch management, custom onboarding and data migration, priority phone support and a dedicated account manager. The lower per-student rate comes with a 500-student threshold; schools below it should consider Growth instead. Both paid plans are recurring per-student subscriptions, so the monthly total depends on enrollment.

Platforms

Byntix runs on the web and Android. The listed apps cover administrators, parents and drivers, and the web parent portal gives families browser access as well.

Who it's for

Byntix describes its platform as built for Indian schools, including small schools, tuition centers, large institutions and school trusts. It is a strong fit for schools that need class-based fee schedules, transport charges, concessions and arrears tracking in a broader school system. Schools with more than 50 students will need a paid plan, and those with complex payment needs beyond the named methods or installment limit should weigh that scope before choosing.

Pros and cons

Pros: The free-forever plan covers up to 50 students and includes fee collection alongside other core modules.
Pros: Transport assignments flow into the fee ledger and installment schedule, reducing separate fee calculations.
Pros: Concessions, partial-payment tracking, arrears carryover and Excel export support ongoing account administration.
Cons: Installments are capped at 12 per academic year, which can constrain more frequent billing schedules.
Cons: The free tier stops at 50 students; Unlimited’s lower per-student rate applies only from 500 students.
Cons: Non-subscribing schools have a 90-day export window after the free 2026–27 year, so data continuity requires planning.

Verdict

Byntix is a good choice for Indian schools that want configurable fee schedules, transport-linked charges and practical arrears tracking alongside wider school modules. The free plan makes it accessible to small schools, while the paid tiers cover larger and multi-branch operations. Look elsewhere if your billing needs exceed 12 installments a year or if the student thresholds and post-year export window do not fit your plans.
