Overview

GoSprout combines apprenticeship and internship administration in one platform, covering applications, training progress and reporting. That makes it a natural option for organizations running multiple types of work-based learning programs. The pricing distinction matters: educational institutions receive free access, while employers pay for each enrolled apprentice.

Key features

Apprenticeship workflows include program standards, application setup, automated alerts, on-the-job training tracking and progress monitoring for related instruction. Reporting and compliance automation is intended to help programs prepare for Department of Labor site visits and maintain grant eligibility. Those tools are particularly relevant to sponsors with formal program and grant obligations; they are less compelling for employers seeking only a basic placement tracker.

Internship management covers applicant vetting, stakeholder coordination, goal setting, time tracking, integrated courses, mentor access and reporting. A mobile intern app complements those workflows. Apprentices have a free app for iOS and Android, while sponsors, employers, RTI providers and journeyworkers use the browser platform.

Integration examples span LMS platforms Moodle, Canvas and Blackboard, payroll systems ADP and Paychex, and CRMs Salesforce and HubSpot. Enterprise accounts can access the API. Single sign-on supports SAML 2.0 and OAuth2 with Microsoft Azure AD, Google Workspace and Okta, useful for organizations standardizing access across existing systems.

GoSprout says it does not resell data and describes encryption, restricted access, regular backups and annual risk assessments with independent third-party penetration tests. Its technical guide states SOC 2 Type II audited, AES-256 encryption at rest and TLS 1.2+ in transit; the security page cautions that measures can change. Data is retained for five years and can be provided or deleted at a customer's request. The company says it follows COPPA, FERPA and CIPA practices, and users 13 years old and younger cannot create accounts.

Pricing

Educational institutions can use the pre-apprenticeship, internship and registered apprenticeship platform free. The apprentice profile is also described as 100% free. That makes GoSprout an attractive option for schools and colleges coordinating programs, though the free access does not remove the employer cost when a business participates.

The Employer apprenticeship platform costs 40.00 USD per month, billed per enrolled apprentice per month. The Employer plan is also 40.00 USD per month, billed $40/enrolled apprentice per month. Both plans have no upper limit on enrolled apprentices and charge nothing for administrative users; implementation fees may be quoted if required. The per-apprentice basis makes costs scale with participation, while the lack of an apprentice cap and free administrative seats avoid separate seat charges for program staff.

GoSprout says professional support and onboarding and training are included at no additional cost. Support is provided primarily through in-app chat and email, and the company's US-based team helps with setup and team proficiency.

Platforms

The platform supports Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows, as well as API access. Apprentices can use the iOS or Android app; sponsor, employer, RTI provider and journeyworker users access the platform in a browser. API access is for enterprise accounts.

Who it's for

GoSprout suits K–12 and CTE programs, colleges and universities, skilled-trades and workforce organizations, and enterprise employers that need to coordinate structured training, internships or apprenticeships. Educational institutions have the clearest cost advantage. Employers should weigh the per-apprentice charge against their cohort size and need for compliance and training workflows.

Pros and cons

Broad program coverage: Apprenticeship, internship and pre-apprenticeship workflows sit within one platform.
Compliance-oriented reporting: Reporting and progress tracking address requirements relevant to Department of Labor visits and grant eligibility.
Free institutional access: Educational institutions can use the platform without a platform fee.
Employer costs grow with enrollment: The monthly charge applies per enrolled apprentice, even though administrative users are free and there is no apprentice cap.
Some enterprise capabilities are tiered: API access is for enterprise accounts, so organizations needing integrations through the API should confirm that this account level fits.

Alternatives

For a broader set of internship management software, compare GoSprout with other products in the category. Riipen is worth considering for students and employers seeking a free platform, with no recruitment fee to employers hiring students after a project. Flarebox offers a free plan centered on AI mock interviews and practice tests, which is a different fit from GoSprout's program administration. ImBlaze may suit buyers looking for a student-centered learning approach; its listed first-year support plan costs 2750.00 USD per once.

InPlace, RB Tech Internship Management System and GradLeaders are other paid options to compare. TPO Bridge is a free alternative with unlimited job posts and campus drives and no subscription or per-post charges. BeChallenge offers teachers a free account to design a learning experience, while its institutional subscription uses custom pricing.

Verdict

GoSprout is best for educational institutions and program sponsors that need apprenticeship and internship administration, learner progress tracking and compliance reporting together. Free institutional access and broad workflows make it a strong fit for schools and colleges; employers should choose it when those capabilities justify a recurring 40.00 USD per enrolled apprentice per month. Employers seeking only a lightweight placement tool or a cost that does not rise with enrollment should look elsewhere.
