In their own words

Certifier

Certifier is a web and API platform for creating, issuing and managing digital certificates and badges that recognize achievements, skills and work. Organizations can customize credentials with logos, templates and uploaded backgrounds, then send batches matched to recipients. Verification is available through unique links, QR codes, issuer checks and UUIDs. Its dashboard tracks published credentials, click-through rates, email opens and recipient interactions. The integrations page lists 57 apps, including Google Sheets, Canvas, Moodle, Zoom and ChatGPT, as well as connector-based options. An API supports incorporating credential workflows into other apps and systems. The free Starter plan allows up to 250 credentials per year, one user, five templates and three forms. Professional costs $76 a month billed annually; the page also shows $89. Advanced costs $339 a month billed annually, with $399 also shown. Enterprise pricing is available by contacting sales. Certifier identifies its company as based in Cracow, Poland.

OpenCred

OpenCred is an open-source, local-first toolkit for issuing and verifying W3C Verifiable Credentials. Individuals and small teams can use its desktop app to issue, manage, and export credentials, including PDFs with scannable QR codes. Organizations can run its Docker image as a headless HTTP API on their own infrastructure, and embed the API or CLI in student records, HR, and billing systems. Listed verification inputs include JSON-LD credentials, vc-jwt, sd-jwt-vc, and PixelPass QR data. OpenCred says signing keys remain in the issuer’s environment: on the desktop machine or in an issuer-operated server container. The Docker image runs within the operator’s infrastructure and sends no data to OpenCred or NFH Trust Labs. did:key credentials can be verified offline; did:web credentials need network access to retrieve the issuer’s DID document. OpenCred is available for free under the MIT licence, as a desktop app or self-hosted Docker server. OID4VCI support is planned.
