ChurchTrac vs One Church Software

ChurchTrac is a church management platform with tools for people and groups, attendance, fund accounting, giving, worship planning, volunteer scheduling, events, registration and child check-in. Church Connect adds a website builder, member portal and mobile app, included with every subscription. Worship planning can import songs through SongSelect or PraiseCharts, and online giving integrates with Stripe. The service runs on Android, iOS, macOS, web and Windows. Monthly plans start at $29 a month for 75 people; listed tiers extend to $119 a month for unlimited tracked people. A 30-day trial is available, but there is no free plan. Each tracked individual counts toward the plan’s people limit, while archived names do not. ChurchTrac says account data is isolated in separate databases, connections use TLS encryption, backups are made regularly, and card or bank details are not stored. Support includes setup sessions and weekly live training. ChurchTrac was founded in 2002 and is headquartered in Jacksonville, Florida, United States.

One Church Software’s accounting module provides fund accounting for churches, tracking unlimited restricted and unrestricted funds with real-time balances. Contribution batches post to the general ledger, while Plaid connections import bank transactions multiple times per day. The module handles bills, recurring payables, bulk payments, payment history, and check printing. Churches can make annual budgets by fund and compare them with actual income and expenses. Reports include a Statement of Activities, Balance Sheet, Trial Balance, Budget to Actual, and General Ledger, exportable as PDF or CSV. Accounts receivable invoices can be paid by credit or debit card or ACH through One Church Giving. The accounting module is a separate add-on to a One Church subscription, though the Financial Plan includes it. The add-on costs $36 a month, and the page offers a 30-day trial without a credit card. The accounting page says bank connections are read-only, credentials are not shared with One Church Software, and data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
