Overview

Zoho Voice handles local and international business calls using purchased numbers. It supports inbound and outbound calling, local and toll-free numbers, forwarding, transfers and direct extension dialing. That makes it a plausible choice for teams replacing a basic phone setup with call routing and supervision; the stated minimum internet speed for calls is 5 Mbps.

Key features

Multi-level IVR and call queues help route incoming calls, while live monitoring and listening, whispering and barging give supervisors ways to assist agents. These contact-center controls are more useful to teams managing shared customer calls than to a solo user seeking only a business number.

WhatsApp and Telegram messaging extend communication beyond calls. Two-way SMS is available for numbers in the US, Canada and Australia, so organizations elsewhere should not count on that channel. Call Intelligence transcribes recorded calls and creates summaries with intent, sentiment, customer satisfaction and agent scores, giving teams material to review customer interactions and agent performance.

Native integrations include Zoho CRM, Desk, Recruit, Bigin and ManageEngine ServiceDesk Plus Cloud. Deluge can connect Zoho Voice with Zoho and non-Zoho apps, which broadens its fit beyond teams already using Zoho. Zoho states that the service is GDPR compliant and certified for ISO 27001, ISO 27017, ISO 27018, ISO 27701, SOC 2 Type II, ISO 9001 and ENS at medium level. Its audit log is under development and not directly accessible, though Zoho says logs can be provided on request. Deleted or inactive account data is generally retained for 90 days before removal from the active database, followed by permanent deletion from backups after another 90 days.

Pricing

Zoho Voice has a free plan and paid plans from $34/user/mo (annual). It also offers a 15-day trial without requiring a credit card. During the trial, a test number and free credits support outbound calls, but incoming calls cannot be tested using that number. That restriction leaves an important part of a phone system unproven before purchase.

The plan lineup includes Solo for one user/license. Basic is also for one user/license and includes one free landline number and 1,000 free outgoing minutes per license per month, making it the more defined option for a single user with moderate outbound needs. Standard and Contact Center each include one admin, 10 telephony agents per license and one free landline number; Contact Center is the clearest fit for teams that need the contact-center tools and priority support.

Team includes 10 users per license and one free landline number. Truly Unlimited has flexible pricing tailored to the organization, is available in listed regions, and may have varying toll-free inbound charges. Corporate supports monthly or yearly billing, up to 100 users, call charges and 5,000 free outgoing minutes per month. Solo, Basic, Standard, Contact Center, Team, Truly Unlimited and Corporate have custom pricing; compare the allocation and calling terms to the team’s needs rather than assuming the entry price covers every use case. The plan comparison lists 24/5 call, chat and email support across plans, with priority support for Contact Center. Zoho Voice is a separate subscription, not part of a Zoho One license.

Platforms

Zoho Voice runs on Android, iOS, Linux, macOS, Windows and the web, and is also available as an extension. This range suits teams that need access across desktop and mobile environments.

Who it's for

Zoho Voice is strongest for businesses that want calling, contact-center supervision and conversation analysis in one system, particularly those already using Zoho CRM or its other native integrations. Its plan allocations also cover a single user through larger teams. Buyers should look elsewhere if they need to validate inbound calling during a trial, need two-way SMS outside the supported countries, or require directly accessible audit logs.

Pros and cons

Pros: Broad calling and contact-center controls support both everyday business calling and supervised agent teams.
Pros: Call Intelligence adds transcriptions and scored summaries, while native Zoho integrations and Deluge can connect calls to business workflows.
Cons: The trial tests outbound calls but not incoming calls, limiting evaluation of a core phone workflow.
Cons: Custom pricing across the named plans and varying toll-free inbound charges on Truly Unlimited make cost comparison less straightforward.
Cons: The audit log is not directly accessible, and two-way SMS is geographically limited.

Alternatives

For a broader Business Phone Systems comparison, consider the category directory. Teams focused on voicemail drop can consult Voicemail Drop Software.

Choose Ring.io if its Startup plan’s $120.00 USD per month price, annual commitment and two-user minimum suit a team that wants a power dialer. Freshsales is worth considering when a free plan for up to three users or a $9.00 USD per month Growth plan billed annually better fits the budget. CloudTalk AI Voice Agent is an alternative for teams seeking an AI receptionist with 50 included minutes, inbound calls and support for 70+ languages.

Dialpad Meetings is the more relevant option when the need is video meetings, with a free plan for core meeting features. Dialpad Support is another paid alternative with a free trial. JustCall Sales Dialer is worth comparing for a paid sales dialer, with a Team plan at $29.00 USD per month billed annually and CRM integrations. Zoom Phone offers metered calling starting at $10.00 USD per user per month for buyers who prefer a metered plan. Agile CRM is a neutral alternative to consider.

Verdict

Choose Zoho Voice if your team needs business calling with contact-center supervision and call analysis, especially alongside Zoho apps. Its breadth is the main reason to choose it; custom plan pricing and the inability to test inbound calls are the strongest reasons to compare alternatives before committing.
