In their own words

Coleva

Coleva is an iPhone personal CRM and relationship journal that organizes short written or dictated entries into memories about people, places, and moments. On-device intelligence extracts people, relationships, dates, and details, with a one-tap undo. A living map shows connections in colour-coded groups, while search can answer plain-English questions from the user's notes. Birthday lead-time reminders and check-in nudges help users follow up. The Free plan is limited to 20 people and includes journal capture, the living map, birthdays, and Ask Coleva. Coleva Plus adds unlimited people, important-date reminders, calendar-synced nudges, AI assist, career and location trails, photo avatars, app lock, and custom map colours. Plus costs $3.99 a month or $39 a year. Notes, diary entries, relationships, and attached photos are stored locally on the iPhone; the maker says it has no server holding user content. Optional Cloud Assist can send limited text or profile information to OpenAI's API when enabled in Settings, and can be turned off. Coleva requires iOS 26.0 or later.

Monica

Monica is an open-source personal CRM for organizing information about friends, family, colleagues, and other important people. Contact records can include contact methods, significant others, children, pets, private notes, reminders, gifts, and money owed. The service also stores relationship notes, journal entries, and activity history for calls, meals, trips, events, and other occasions. Contacts can be imported from vCard or CSV files, with duplicates displayed before merging. A REST API supports contact-data imports and exports and automation of parts of the application. Monica says it does not sell personal data, show ads, or use private account contents to train models. Hosted accounts include managed backups and email support; self-hosting uses Docker or manual installation, with users maintaining infrastructure and backups. Self-hosted Monica is free; Hosted Monica is $90 a year.
