Overview

Contractor+ brings customer management, field operations and business administration into one platform for build and service contractors. Its strongest fit is a trade business that wants to manage jobs and billing alongside customer records; it is less compelling for someone seeking only a simple invoicing tool.

The company says it serves more than 30 industries, from general contracting and HVAC to landscaping, roofing and handyman services. That broad scope is backed by tools for lead generation, projects and field service, bookkeeping, estimates, scheduling, invoicing, client communications, a client portal, time and mileage tracking, and AI.

Key features

From leads to field work

Contractor+ combines CRM and lead generation with project and field service management, scheduling, communications and a client portal. Time and mileage tracking and bookkeeping extend the product beyond job coordination. That breadth can reduce the need to move between separate systems, though a contractor who only needs to send bills may not need the wider operations toolkit.

Estimates, invoices and payments

Online payments, payment requests and recurring invoices support billing after work is scheduled or completed. The free FREEDOM plan allows up to five estimates or invoices per month; PRO removes that ceiling. Contractors with irregular or low billing volume may be able to stay free, while those issuing more than five documents need a paid plan.

Integrations and API

QuickBooks Online automatically syncs estimates, invoices and client data, a practical fit for businesses that keep their accounting there. Other listed integrations include ABC Supply, Ace Hardware, Angi Leads, CompanyCam, EagleView, Hover, Lowe’s, NEXT Insurance, QXO, Thumbtack and Wisetack.

The developer API exposes more than 400 endpoints for enterprise customers and strategic integration partners, covering contacts, properties, jobs, work orders, estimates, invoices, expenses, requests and opportunities. Communications are marked as coming soon, so this is a route for supported integrations rather than a complete API surface today.

Pricing

FREEDOM is $0.00 USD per free, billed Free forever. It includes basic CRM, up to 250 leads and clients, and up to five estimates or invoices per month, with web, mobile and tablet access. That is a meaningful starting point for a solo contractor with a modest client list and low monthly billing volume, but the client and document caps constrain growth.

PRO costs $29.00 USD per month for one user, with unlimited leads and clients and unlimited estimates and invoices. It is the clearest step up for an individual whose activity exceeds FREEDOM’s caps. PRO TEAM costs $58.00 USD per month with the first two users included; each additional user costs $20/month. The included seats make it more suitable for a small crew, but growing teams should account for the per-user charge.

MAX costs $500.00 USD per month for unlimited users and includes $1K/yr in Voice credits and $1K/yr in AI credits. It is aimed at larger operations that need broad user access and can use those credits; it is a substantial jump over the per-user plans.

A 14-day trial is available for most premium features, including job scheduling and team chat. Annual contracts are billed upfront in one invoice, and prices exclude VAT and sales tax where applicable. Customers can cancel at any time through self-service, but sales are final and refunds are not offered. Customer Success offers one-on-one Zoom setup sessions and demos five days a week.

Platforms

Contractor+ supports web, Android and iOS. The free plan also works on tablets, giving a contractor options across desktop and mobile work.

Who it's for

Contractor+ suits trades businesses that want customer, job and billing workflows in one place, especially those already using QuickBooks Online or needing more than invoicing alone. Its free plan is a sensible starting point for a small operation within the 250-contact and five-document monthly limits. Businesses that need more users, clients or estimates will need to budget for a paid tier; invoice-only users may be better served by a narrower billing product.

Pros and cons

Broad operational coverage: CRM, field service, scheduling, bookkeeping and billing address more than invoicing, which can suit contractors consolidating day-to-day work.
Useful free entry point: FREEDOM costs nothing indefinitely and includes mobile access, but its 250-client and five-estimate-or-invoice monthly caps are restrictive for a busy business.
Scalable billing and seats: PRO offers unlimited estimates and invoices, while PRO TEAM includes two users; additional seats on PRO TEAM cost $20/month.
Upfront annual commitment and no refunds: Annual contracts are billed in one invoice, and sales are final, so cancellation flexibility does not remove the risk of committing upfront.

Alternatives

Invoice Ninja is a better fit when invoicing is the priority: its free plan includes unlimited invoicing for five clients, while Contractor+ adds wider contractor operations but caps free users at five estimates or invoices monthly.

Invoice Plus may suit someone who wants a smaller invoicing and expense-tracking tool, with a free plan allowing 10 invoices per month and offline use in mobile apps. Choose Contractor+ for its broader job and field-service scope.

Zoho Invoice is worth considering for a free invoicing option; Contractor+ is the more operations-focused choice for contractors who also need job and customer management.

Invoicely offers a free plan with five monthly invoices and three saved clients, so it may work for a very small billing workload; Contractor+ allows more clients but also includes broader business tools.

Bookipi has a free plan capped at three invoices per month, making Contractor+’s five-document allowance more generous for a free-start contractor.

FreshBooks is a paid alternative with a free trial; consider it if you prefer a paid invoicing product rather than Contractor+’s free-to-paid contractor operations plans.

Joist is another paid alternative with a free trial; compare it if you want a dedicated contractor invoicing option instead of Contractor+’s broader platform.

Traddie offers paid plans starting at £9.99/month for one user with unlimited quotes and invoices; it may suit a solo contractor prioritizing those documents over Contractor+’s wider operations feature set.

Verdict

Contractor+ is best for a trade business that wants customer management, field operations and billing together, with a free tier that can support a small workload before a paid upgrade. Choose it over an invoicing-only product when those operational tools matter; look elsewhere if your needs are limited to billing or if the free plan’s client and monthly document limits are too tight.
