In their own words

Connecteam

Connecteam is a workforce management app for deskless employees, combining communications, daily operations and training. Its Operations Hub includes a time clock, job scheduling, forms and quick tasks. The Communications Hub brings together chat, updates, a directory, surveys, events, a knowledge base and help desk tools. The HR & Skills Hub covers time off, courses, quizzes, documents, recognition, rewards, hiring, onboarding and an org chart. It runs on Android, iOS and the web, and is optimized for smartphones and desktop computers. Supported mobile versions are Android 6.0 or later and iOS 15.5 or later; the app requires an internet connection and cannot currently be used offline. Listed integrations include ADP Workforce Now, Gusto, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Bamboo HR, Lightspeed Restaurant K series, Square and Wix. Businesses with fewer than 10 employees can use the free Small Business Plan. Basic hub plans start at $29 a month billed yearly for the first 30 users, and a 14-day trial is offered without a credit card.

SimpleOrgChart

SimpleOrgChart turns Microsoft Entra information read through Microsoft Graph into an interactive web org chart and employee directory. The chart supports panning, zooming, branch expansion and collapse, and keeping selected subtrees hidden. The searchable directory has configurable filters for guest and disabled users. Admin reports cover missing managers, sign-in activity, recent hires, filtered users, missing profile pictures or hire dates, and data quality issues. Charts can be exported as SVG, PNG or PDF snapshots, while reports and chart data can be exported to XLSX. Scheduled email reports can run daily, weekly or monthly through configured SMTP, but this feature is disabled by default. The default setup leaves the chart public and password-protects administrator pages; optional OIDC can require Microsoft sign-in and group membership. Some reports and functions require extra Graph permissions and synced data. The project recommends Docker Compose and does not support local execution outside Docker. It is free open-source software under the MIT License. Deployment requires Docker and an Azure AD/Entra tenant with privileges to create app registrations and grant Graph application permissions.
