In their own words
Contently
Contently is a content platform and editorial service for organizations that manage work from strategy through performance evaluation. Contently describes it for enterprise content teams, especially regulated organizations such as banks, insurers, and healthcare companies. Planning and production include routed brief intake, story briefs, assignments, approval workflows, a text editor, story library, and a cross-channel capacity calendar. Writers can follow inline Tone Analyzer and brand-governance rules, while regulatory requirements can be included in briefs and drafts and reviewed during the workflow. A dedicated Managing Editor can source experts, coordinate production, and maintain editorial guardrails. The network includes more than 10,000 creators, including CFAs, MDs, JDs, and CPAs. Its Content Value Dashboard refreshes daily, is auditable, and connects performance with CRM pipeline attribution. Integrations include WordPress, Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. The API retrieves completed content but cannot upload or edit it. Pricing is on request.
Strive Content Calendar
Strive Content Calendar is a WordPress editorial system for planning, reviewing and maintaining articles. Its four-week Calendar view displays scheduled and unscheduled WordPress posts, while the Pipeline organizes work into Not Started, Writing, Editing and Complete. Reusable checklists let users track progress on each article. Local Editorial Readiness runs deterministic checks inside WordPress without AI, an external account or a usage quota. Pro adds private revisions of published articles, so the live version remains unchanged until republication; republishing does not change the URL or history. Pro AI features use the provider connected through WordPress, require WordPress 7.0 or later, and present proposed changes for inspection and approval. Approved writes are preceded by a WordPress revision. Pro can find internal-link opportunities in the site’s published article library, with approval required before insertion. Strive manages built-in WordPress Posts and articles, not Pages, products or custom post types. The package requires WordPress 6.5 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. Lite is free; Pro costs $9 a month.
