In their own words
Convoy Platform
Convoy Platform is a freight marketplace where brokers and trusted carriers match and execute freight. Brokers can automate carrier negotiation, vetting, booking, tracking, status updates, document management, and payouts, while remaining the broker of record and responsible for customer relationships and shipment fulfillment. They can sync loads from a transportation management system through integrations or the Convoy Broker API, which supports event-based updates and webhooks. Carriers can find, bid on, and book loads through a free app for iOS and Android or the carrier web portal. Tools include instant booking, lane alerts, backhaul search, GPS fleet tracking, and in-app bill of lading submissions. Payment options include same-day, two-day, or 30-day terms, including QuickPay. The platform currently supports single-driver full truckload dry van, refrigerated, and flatbed freight, with live loading and unloading required. Carriers need active USDOT authority and applicable permits; interstate shipments require an active MC number, and safety rating or score may affect eligibility. DAT Freight Tech, LLC owns and operates the platform.
Drivin
Drivin is a cloud-based transportation management system for logistics operations, combining a web application with a mobile client. Its AI-powered routing considers traffic, delivery time windows, and geocoding, while fleet, driver, and carrier tools account for vehicle availability and load restrictions. Drivers can record proof of delivery, collect cash, chat, and track returnable assets in real time. A control tower follows vehicles and order status, with evidence options including photos, video, digital signatures, and downloadable PDF proof of delivery. Customers can receive configurable delivery updates with ETA information, and businesses can add a tracking widget to their sites. Reporting covers performance indicators, trip and cost settlements, dashboards, and service surveys. Drivin connects with ERP, WMS, e-commerce, and proprietary systems through API and webhook connections; its RESTful API supports creating, querying, modifying, and deleting information. It names industries including retail, pharmaceuticals, foodservice, industrial operations, and logistics providers. Pricing is set in each client's commercial proposal, with no general amount published.
