In their own words
CourtAlert Case Management
CourtAlert Case Management provides configurable docketing and calendaring for large and mid-sized law firms with heavy caseloads. Its reconciliation feature captures electronic court notices, downloads linked PDFs, and places them in an inbox for docketing review. The system reads ECF notices from federal PACER courts, certain state courts, File&Serve courts, and PTAB; the complete court list requires login. Users can enter dates manually, calculate them with automatic rules, or adjourn existing dates. AI tools can suggest dates and summarize text, while CalendarRules supplies real-time deadline calculations across more than 2,500 jurisdictions. Case details, docket text, and PDF text are searchable, with experience reporting and document tags for work product, samples, or precedent. Notifications include email ticklers, configurable reminders, firm and practice-group calendars, Outlook, web, and printed reports. Integrations include iManage, NetDocuments, Office 365, Exchange 2010+, Active Directory, Intapp Walls, iManage SPM, and matter-intake workflows. Deployment can be cloud or on premises.
LitDocket
LitDocket is legal docketing software that combines rules-based deadline calculations with AI analysis of uploaded documents. It extracts dates, parties, and deadlines for attorney review; AI-generated deadlines must be verified before activation. A trigger event can create more than 50 dependent deadlines, and updates cascade through that chain. The system covers federal rules and state courts in 14 jurisdictions, with citations and calculation methods available for each deadline. A priority-coded calendar, configurable alerts, and a morning dashboard surface urgent and overdue work. Teams can share cases with role-based access and see who is viewing a case; exports are available in CSV, JSON, and iCal. It runs on the web, through an API, or as a self-hosted deployment. The free tier becomes read-only after its 14-day trial if you do not subscribe. Solo costs $49 a month and is capped at 25 active cases; Team costs $149 a month and includes unlimited active cases for up to five members.
