In their own words
CoverED
CoverED builds monthly schedules for emergency medicine groups, including single- or multi-site departments and residency programs. Its six-pass scheduling algorithm considers requests and configured constraints, fills NOC shifts first, and balances weekends. The model supports AM, PM, and NOC shifts, separate nocturnist roles, and an APP layer with one to four daily slots depending on plan. Providers can submit availability, block dates, request shifts or PTO, trade named shifts, and claim open shifts from a phone. CoverED tracks shift and weekend equity, shows three-month rolling burnout indicators, and carries deficits into later months. Published schedules can sync to Apple, Google, or Outlook calendars through ICS or webcal; PDF and CSV exports and email and SMS digests are also available. Residency tools include block scheduling and ACGME duty-hour checks. The service can import prior schedules from PDFs, screenshots, exports, or copied text. It stores scheduling data only, not clinical data, and says it encrypts information in transit and at rest on SOC 2 infrastructure. Paid plans include setup; a free 30-minute walkthrough is available with any plan.
MedHub
MedHub provides medical education management software for undergraduate medical education (UME) and graduate residency programs (GME). UME tools include student and schedule management, curriculum mapping, competency tracking, evaluations, accreditation maintenance and reporting. For GME, the platform supports residency scheduling, evaluations, onboarding, accreditation management and reimbursement optimization. A curriculum and assessment solution includes board exam readiness tools, performance analytics and AI risk assessment. The mobile app supports evaluations, work hours, calendars, procedure logs, reminders, talk-to-text and offline task syncing. Listed interfaces include AAMC ERAS, ACGME, NPDB, NPPES, PeopleSoft, Epic, Oracle, Comet LMS, Qgenda and Kronos. Institutions can request API access through their GME office. MedHub lists 128-bit SSL encryption, available multifactor authentication, FERPA and SOC 2 compliance, and 99.95% uptime. Pricing is on request; the site invites institutions to request a demo. Support tickets can be submitted through an institution’s MedHub URL.
