Municipal Tax System (M.T.S.) is self-hosted real estate tax collection software for tax collectors, school districts and municipalities. It handles assessment-based taxes, flat fees and variable charges such as hydrant or street-light fees. Payments, including interim bills, are handled from one screen, with tracking for installments, split payments, overpayments, underpayments and refunds. Users can create interim bills and customize tax bills, late notices and certification letters. The software generates reports and records collections and deposits; its Tax Collector’s Monthly Report follows Pennsylvania Commonwealth standards and format. M.T.S. uses Microsoft SQL, supports network operation and runs on Windows 7, 8, 10 and 11. It is not cloud software, and customers retain control of their data.
