In their own words
Current RMS
Current RMS is cloud software for managing equipment rentals in the AV, production, event and party rental industries. Its availability engine calculates how much stock is available now and in the future, while asset tools track bulk inventory or serialized items and create barcode and QR code labels. A rental-focused CRM organizes customer and colleague interactions, activities, tasks and email discussions. Teams can send branded proposals and rental documents for online approval, comments and digital signatures, and manage deposits and part invoices while the system calculates the remaining balance. Accounting integrations with Xero, QuickBooks Online and Sage Business Cloud support posting invoices and credit notes and recording payments. The product also lists integrations including TeamTrack, PATGuard Cloud, Arrivy and HubSpot Data Sync, and offers an open API for customer-built integrations. It runs on Android, iOS and the web. The First User plan is $79 a month; each additional user is $49 a month. A 30-day trial requires no card details.
EquipmentShare
EquipmentShare’s T3 is a cloud-based platform for contractors managing mixed construction fleets. Connected telematics hardware provides live information about asset locations, condition and utilization. T3 supports heavy machinery, light-duty vehicles and non-powered assets, bringing telematics, cameras, maintenance and compliance tools into one dashboard. GPS tracking, geofences and SMS or email alerts help users monitor equipment and respond to possible theft or misuse. Keypads can restrict machine access and record operator history; dash cams provide road- and driver-facing views with alerts for risky driving. The platform also supports ELD and DVIR workflows and records state fuel use and mileage for IFTA reporting. Its mobile app supports tracking, work orders, inspections and utilization monitoring. OEM feeds typically refresh every 15–60 minutes, while AEMP-compliant systems can connect without extra hardware or separate portals. T3 is included with EquipmentShare rental machines and can also be purchased for owned equipment. Pricing is on request.
