Overview

CustomsLogIQ brings classification drafts, compliance screening, landed-cost calculation, and audit records into a cloud service. Its country-specific tariff, ruling, and regulatory coverage is focused on Canada and the United States, so businesses whose work centers elsewhere should look for broader geographic coverage.

The platform is backed by Logistics and Customs Services Inc., which has served cross-border trade since 1996. CustomsLogIQ explicitly leaves the final classification decision to the professional of record and does not file customs entries.

Key features

Classification and document intake

CustomsLogIQ drafts 10-digit HS and HTS codes with GIR/GRI reasoning. It accepts commercial invoices, product photos, PDFs, images, CSV files, and Excel XLSX files; bulk uploads make it more suited to teams handling multiple products than the Free plan’s one-at-a-time workflow. Professionals can review or override recommendations, a useful safeguard where classification judgment matters, but also a reason not to treat its drafts as filing-ready decisions.

Screening and audit trail

Checks cover Canadian government agencies, U.S. ACE Partner Government Agencies, sanctions, duty, taxes, and available FTA opportunities. Landed-cost calculation adds a cost view, while records of reasoning, cited rulings, reviewed headings, broker decisions, and timestamped activity support later review. PDF and CSV report export makes those records portable.

Monitoring, security, and integrations

Trade Compliance and higher plans recheck classifications monthly and alert users to relevant regulatory changes. CustomsLogIQ says it uses TLS 1.3 encryption and separate databases for each country, and that it does not use classification data for AI training or share it with third parties. Enterprise clients can configure data residency or request a private instance. Enterprise also includes API and webhook integration; no named external integration partners are specified in the plan description, so buyers needing a particular connector should confirm fit before committing.

Pricing

Free and pay-as-you-go

Free costs 0.00 USD per free, with signup and no card required. It includes 3 credits each month for single and vision classification, with manual entry one item at a time; usage beyond those credits is $1 per credit. This is a practical way to assess occasional classification work, but the monthly allowance and manual single-item input constrain sustained or bulk use.

Credit Packs cost 1.00 USD per once, billed at $1 / credit, with volume discounts to $0.77 per credit. Packs range from $100 for 110 credits to $5,000 for 6,500 credits; credits never expire. There is no subscription, and bulk processing and all classification types are included, making this more suitable than Free for irregular workloads that need broader classification options. Buyers give up the monthly compliance monitoring and team workspace included in Trade Compliance.

Team plans

Trade Compliance costs 495.00 USD per month, billed $495 /mo or $5,049 /yr paid annually, and requires a 12 month agreement. It includes 500 credits each month, monitoring, audit and reporting, a team workspace, priority support, and purchased credits that roll over forever. It suits teams that need recurring compliance oversight and shared review, but the agreement is a substantial commitment compared with expiring-free, one-time credit purchases; the plan’s monthly credits are distinct from the purchased credits that roll over.

Broker CRM costs 695.00 USD per month, billed $695 /mo or $7,089 /yr paid annually, and also requires a 12 month agreement. It is marked Coming soon and includes 700 credits each month, a full CRM and team workspace, priority support, and purchased credits that roll over forever. It may suit brokers seeking the CRM workflow, but its coming-soon status means it is not the choice for a team needing that capability immediately.

Enterprise has custom pricing based on volume. It adds SSO and API access, dedicated support and onboarding, custom volume, and custom data residency, which makes it the plan for organizations with integration or deployment requirements rather than a predictable self-serve price.

Platforms

CustomsLogIQ runs in the cloud and is available on web and through an API. Enterprise includes API and webhook integration. It is not a customs filing system.

Who it's for

Customs brokers and importers working across Canada and the United States are the clearest fit, particularly when they need reviewable classifications, screening, and traceable decisions. Manufacturers and compliance teams can also use its document-based classification and monitoring workflows. It is not the right choice for organizations that expect autonomous filing, or for buyers who need country coverage beyond the two supported markets.

Pros and cons

Pro: Classification drafts include GIR/GRI reasoning and can be reviewed or overridden, keeping professional judgment in the workflow.
Pro: Screening, landed-cost calculation, monthly monitoring on qualifying plans, and exportable audit records cover several related compliance tasks in one service.
Pro: Free monthly credits and non-expiring purchased credits let occasional users start small without a subscription.
Con: The Free plan is limited to three monthly credits and manual, one-item-at-a-time entry, so it is a narrow fit for regular volume.
Con: Trade Compliance and Broker CRM require 12-month agreements, limiting flexibility for teams unsure of ongoing usage.
Con: CustomsLogIQ does not file entries, and its stated market support is limited to Canada and the United States.

Verdict

CustomsLogIQ is a strong fit for Canada- and U.S.-focused teams that want reasoned classification drafts, compliance screening, and an audit trail without giving up professional review. Its free credits and non-expiring packs make a low-commitment start possible, while the monitoring and team plans add meaningful workflow depth. Look elsewhere if you need customs filing, broader country coverage, or cannot accept a 12-month commitment for ongoing team compliance features.
