Tencent Machine Translation
Tencent Machine Translation (TMT) is an AI translation product built on Tencent’s neural-network engine and large-scale corpora. Its end-to-end image translation recognizes text in images and returns translated images in the original layout. PNG, JPG, and JPEG inputs are supported, with any two-way language pairing among 18 languages. Tencent lists web translation, international office work, video subtitles, and smart hardware as use cases. Developers can call APIs through API 3.0 Explorer or Tencent Cloud SDKs, with listed SDK languages including Python, Java, PHP, Go, Node.js, .NET, and C++. The service is paid, has a free plan, and has no free trial. Ten free image-translation calls are listed for three months, but users must claim the package manually in the console. Tencent says text and batch text translation are being retired for new users, while several other interfaces are unavailable to new users. From October 1, 2026, it says QPS limits will gradually decrease and new free packages will stop for several interfaces.
