In their own words

Device42

Device42 provides agentless discovery, asset management, and dependency mapping for data center, cloud, and hybrid IT environments. Its scope includes CMDB, DCIM, ITAM, IPAM, password management, and application dependency mapping, in a self-hosted deployment. It can discover network devices through SNMP and cloud resources across AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and OpenStack.

For data centers, its visual models cover buildings, rooms, racks, cabling, and patch panels, with power and temperature heat maps. Core includes discovery, inventory and asset management, integrations, REST APIs and webhooks, warranty and SSL certificate management, cable and password management, and IPAM. Device42 also tracks software licenses, contracts, and barcodes, and lists more than 30 integrations. Licenses count devices with IP addresses; non-IP assets do not count, and user seats are unlimited. If the device limit is exceeded, the software keeps running but stops collecting additional information until the license is increased. Pricing is available on request, and a free trial is offered.

Komiser

Komiser is an open-source cloud resource manager for reviewing infrastructure cost, usage, security, and governance. Its inventory helps identify idle or untagged assets, while a dashboard summarizes connected accounts, regions, resource counts, and infrastructure cost. Users can filter resources by account, provider, service, and region, then view them in a pie chart. The cost explorer sorts resources, compares costs from monthly to yearly, and allows resources to be excluded from comparisons. Custom views can trigger cost or usage alerts every hour through Slack or a custom webhook; webhook workflows can involve tools such as Jira, Linear, and PagerDuty. The project lists support for AWS, Azure, GCP, Civo, DigitalOcean, OCI, Linode, Tencent, and Scaleway, and its configuration guide also lists Kubernetes and MongoDB Atlas. Multiple cloud accounts are supported by default. Komiser can run locally or in Docker, with its dashboard accessed in a browser at localhost:3000; SQLite and PostgreSQL are documented persistence options. The project says it can detect potential vulnerabilities in cloud environments. It is offered as a free cloud option and can also be deployed on-premises. Its GitHub page states the Elastic License 2.0.
