In their own words
DialPhone Online Fax
DialPhone Online Fax sends and receives faxes online, without a physical fax machine or dedicated fax line. It provides virtual fax numbers, inbound faxing, and service in 105 countries, with local numbers available on request. Sending options include apps for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, a web app, a print driver, and integrations with Microsoft Teams, Outlook, Gmail, Box, Dropbox, and Google Drive. DocuSign and Adobe Sign integrations support faxing signed PDFs. The service describes itself as HIPAA, FINRA, and GDPR compliant and PCI-DSS ready, with a Business Associate Agreement available. Listed safeguards include AES-256 encryption in transit and at rest, role-based inbox access, audit logs, and multi-region data residency. Each transmission produces a timestamped confirmation and audit entry; failed sends retry automatically. Basic is $9.99 a month billed annually, for one user, with one local number and a 1,500-minute monthly fair-use cap. A 14-day free trial requires no credit card.
FaxBurner
FaxBurner is an online fax service for sending and receiving documents through an app, email or supported computers. Its free service does not require a credit card and includes a temporary fax number lasting 24 hours, five pages total to send and 25 inbound pages per month. Paid plans make the number permanent: Professional costs $14.95 a month for 500 inbound and outbound pages per month, while Premier costs $24.95 a month for 2,000 pages per month.
Users can fax from Gmail, Outlook or another inbox, and send PDFs, JPEGs, PNGs, scans, photos and uploaded files. Features include archiving, online signing, combining files and creating faxes from photos. FaxBurner supports iPhone, iPad, Android, PC, Mac, Windows and Linux; faxes are delivered through secure servers to the app inbox or email. The service provides FAQs and a Help Center, but no compliance support. Cancelling or downgrading may make a paid number temporary again and restore free-tier limits. FaxBurner says it has operated since 2010.
