In their own words
Digital WarRoom
Digital WarRoom is eDiscovery software for legal and compliance teams, covering document processing, review, production and data management. It can run as a hosted cloud service or be installed on-premises, with self-hosted, web and Windows platforms listed. Processing extracts document metadata and indexes plain-text words for keyword searches. Reviewers can apply custom marks, issue codes, protective-order designations and redactions, and create privilege-log entries. Production tools image and endorse documents, select metadata fields for export, and package output as load files. The Pro product page lists support for more than 500 file types. Digital WarRoom Gist adds predictive coding and technology-assisted review, scoring documents from 1 to 100; the company generally recommends it for larger data sets. Hosted plans start at $500 a month for one matter, unlimited users and 50 GB. Hosted billing is based on the maximum data preserved during the month, even if some is later deleted.
RedactLaw
RedactLaw is an AI-powered document redaction platform made for law firms. It detects personal information and HIPAA identifiers, applies context-aware recognition, and assigns confidence scores to help users review proposed redactions. Reviewers can compare a detection with the original, approve or reject items individually, or handle flagged items in bulk. The product says it removes underlying data permanently and clears metadata and hidden layers from redacted files. It accepts PDF, DOCX, XLSX, JPEG, PNG, and TIFF files, including scanned documents through OCR, and produces redacted PDFs. Templates cover medical records, court filings, FOIA responses, financial discovery, employment records, and immigration files. Redaction decisions, users, and timestamps appear in an audit trail, with PDF and CSV exports. RedactLaw is available on the web, by API, and as self-hosted software. The free plan allows five documents a month, up to ten pages each, for one user; paid plans start at $39 a month.
