Digits is a cloud general ledger for business owners and accountants, combining automated books, month-end close, bill pay, invoicing, and real-time financials. Its AI bookkeeping categorizes transactions, flags items, and provides smart reviews around the clock. The platform supports cash and accrual accounting, journal entry and reconciliation automation, close task management, multi-entity support, and an audit trail. Digits Connect links with more than 12,000 financial institutions, and native integrations include Mercury, Ramp, Gusto, BILL, Stripe, Arc, Ignition, Karbon, and Reach Reporting. Bill Pay uses OCR to extract invoice details and supports vendor payments by ACH or check. A Developer API and MCP server can connect the ledger to tools such as ChatGPT and Claude. Digits offers web and API access plus native iPhone and iPad apps. It states that it is SOC 2 Type II compliant and uses revocable API tokens, TLS, and per-secret authenticated envelope encryption.
