Overview

Dtravel combines direct-booking websites and listing distribution with tools for payments and guest screening. Hosts can use it without a property management system or connect a supported PMS to sync calendars, pricing and listing content. That flexibility accommodates both independent hosts starting a direct channel and managers already working in a PMS.

The company characterizes Dtravel as a peer-to-peer vacation-rental ecosystem built on the Nite Protocol and powered by its TRVL token. For most operators, the practical decision is whether its site, distribution and operating tools fit their listing volume and booking-fee tolerance.

Key features

Direct booking and distribution

The no-code website builder includes AI-assisted design, themes, custom branding and custom domains. It gives hosts a way to establish a branded booking site without building one from scratch. Those who already have a website can embed Dtravel’s booking widget, including on WordPress; the widget supports card, crypto and buy-now-pay-later payments.

Listings can be distributed through Google Vacation Rentals, mini-apps, Directo browser extensions and Dtravel Collectives. There is no upfront distribution cost, but bookings from those channels carry a success-based fee. That arrangement avoids paying simply to participate, while making the economics of each referred booking important.

PMS, payments and guest safeguards

Dtravel can operate on its own or sync calendars, pricing and listing content through a PMS. Live direct integrations include Hospitable, Hostaway, Hostkit, Rentalwise and Uplisting. This is useful for operators already using one of those systems; those relying on another PMS should not assume it will connect directly.

Live payment options include Stripe, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Affirm, Afterpay, Klarna, MetaMask and Polygon. Truvi integration adds automated guest screening, ID verification and fraud checks. Truvi’s optional damage protection offers up to $5,000,000 coverage per incident, with claims submitted up to 48 hours after checkout.

Pricing

Dtravel is freemium, with a 14-day trial and paid plans from $19/month. Starter costs 0.00 USD per month (billed $0/month) and supports up to 25 listings. It charges a 5% booking fee and a 9% referred booking fee. That makes it a low-commitment way for new or casual hosts to start, but the booking charges matter as volume grows.

Pro costs 19.00 USD per month (billed $19/month) for up to 4 listings, then $0.50 to $2 per listing, with a cap of 250 listings. It charges a 9% referred booking fee and has a 0% standard booking fee after $5,000 USD in cumulative booking volume. This tier targets professional hosts and property managers: it removes the standard fee after the threshold, but referred bookings remain subject to a fee, and the per-listing charge beyond four can add up.

Enterprise starts at $500/month, with custom pricing by quote. It offers unlimited listings, a custom referred booking fee, dedicated support and an account manager, making it the tier aimed at property management companies. Starter includes normal support; Pro adds high-priority support and an onboarding call.

The listed property limit is 4 properties, so operators should distinguish that limit from the plan’s stated listing allowance when assessing their setup. The free plan’s 25-listing cap and booking fees are its main constraints; Pro’s fee structure changes after cumulative booking volume reaches $5,000 USD.

Platforms

Dtravel runs on the web and as an extension. Its custom-domain support and embeddable widget also let operators put the booking experience on their own website.

Who it's for

Dtravel suits hosts who want to build a direct booking presence and property managers who value optional PMS connectivity, multiple payment methods and guest screening. Starter fits new or casual hosts testing a direct channel; Pro is more relevant to professional operators managing several listings; Enterprise is positioned for property management companies needing unlimited listings and dedicated account support.

It is less compelling for operators whose priority is avoiding booking fees or whose workflow depends on a PMS outside its live direct integrations. Distribution can expand reach, but its success-based fees mean that channel bookings should be considered alongside the monthly subscription.

Pros and cons

Pros: Hosts can start free with up to 25 listings, or create a branded direct-booking site with a no-code builder and custom domain.
Pros: Optional PMS connections, broad payment options and Truvi screening cover several operational needs without requiring a PMS to use the service.
Pros: Pro eliminates the standard booking fee after $5,000 USD in cumulative booking volume.
Cons: Starter charges a 5% booking fee and a 9% referred booking fee, so the free subscription does not mean fee-free bookings.
Cons: Pro’s $19/month price covers up to 4 listings; additional listings cost $0.50 to $2 each, and referred bookings still carry a 9% fee.
Cons: Distribution carries a success-based fee, and direct PMS integrations are limited to the named live connections.

Alternatives

For a simpler vacation-rental website, Goliday has a free plan for one property and one language, with up to 100 additional pages; its Pro plan costs 25.00 EUR per month. Choose it when that narrower website scope and property cap suit you better than Dtravel’s distribution and booking tools.

Lodgix costs 79.99 USD per month for 1–7 properties and has a free trial. It may suit operators looking for a paid property-management option with a defined small portfolio tier rather than Dtravel’s free entry plan and booking-fee structure.

Tokeet offers a free plan and a 14.99 USD per month AdvanceCM plan with 50+ channel connections, automated messaging, dynamic rates and invoicing and payments. Consider it if channel connections and rate automation are the priority.

i-Rent is a paid option with a free trial; its Rental Manager plan costs 72.00 EUR per month for 5–24 properties. It may be a better fit for an operator whose portfolio falls in that range.

iGMS is paid and offers a free trial. Its FLEX plan charges 1.00 USD per month per booked night, with a $20 per property/month minimum, 0% booking fee and no charge for canceled reservations. Choose it if per-booked-night billing and avoiding booking fees better match your reservations.

Lodgify is a paid option with a free trial; its Basic plan is shown at 73.00 USD per month, with the billing interval unclear. It is an alternative for readers comparing paid vacation-rental software.

Hospitable has a free Essentials plan with unlimited active properties and a paid Host plan at 29.00 USD per month for one included active property. It is worth considering if its free active-property allowance is more important than Dtravel’s direct-booking and distribution combination.

Hostex is a paid option with a free trial.

Verdict

Choose Dtravel if you want a direct-booking site, distribution and operational tools, with the flexibility to use a PMS or run without one. Its free entry tier and Pro’s fee reduction after $5,000 USD in cumulative booking volume are useful, but booking and referred-booking charges remain material. Look elsewhere if your priority is a fee-free booking model or a PMS connection beyond its live integrations.
