In their own words
Embrace
Embrace is a real user monitoring platform for mobile and web that connects technical performance with individual user sessions. Mobile monitoring captures sessions and provides crash, ANR, network and performance insights. Web monitoring includes session timelines, Core Web Vitals, error reporting, custom metrics and alerting. Crashes, network requests, custom events and Core Web Vitals can be viewed in session context. The platform is built on OpenTelemetry; Embrace says customers own their data and can connect it to other tools. Documented instrumentation covers Android, iOS, web, React Native, Unity and Flutter. Dashboards, SLO support and user journey analysis are available, and data can be forwarded through data destination and OpenTelemetry interfaces. Mobile and web sessions count toward the same usage total. The free tier allows up to 1 million sessions per year and five users, with three days of event retention; reaching either cap stops additional ingestion or user additions unless the customer upgrades. Pro is listed at $0.80 per month, with an $80 monthly minimum spend. A 30-day trial is listed.
Odigos
Odigos is self-hosted software for recording live runtime activity inside services, so engineers, AI agents and security teams can investigate production behavior without changing application code. It can collect traces, metrics, logs, profiles and function values, including evidence that would otherwise require an instrumentation release or redeployment. Odigos uses out-of-process eBPF capture; the company states it uses under 1% CPU and adds effectively zero latency. Access controls govern who can request captures, which workloads they cover and what can be collected. PII masking, attribute deletion and sampling can shape captured values in the cluster before export. Data is sent as OpenTelemetry to configured destinations, and Odigos can run alongside tools including Datadog, New Relic, Honeycomb, Grafana Cloud, Jaeger, Tempo, Loki and SigNoz. The listed supported languages are Go, Java, Python,.NET, JavaScript, PHP and Ruby. Deployment options include Kubernetes, VMs and bare metal. Odigos also supports function-level virtual patching to block matching application calls before a code release. The open-source plan costs nothing and includes community support. Enterprise has custom pricing and a 14-day free trial; it lists multi-cluster administration and 24/7 premium support. Oracle database tracing is marked “Coming Soon” on the plan comparison.
