In their own words
Epicflow
Epicflow is a multi-project resource and portfolio management solution for planning and controlling work across projects. Its Pipeline gives an overview of projects and milestones and helps teams assess feasibility and deadlines. Capacity planning forecasts resource demand and output, analyzes workload, and helps prevent bottlenecks; what-if simulations let users consider project changes. The listed capabilities include task dependencies, a Gantt view, resource management, time tracking, and AI priority recommendations. Ready-made integrations are listed for Microsoft Project, Jira, and Oracle Primavera, with custom integrations available for project, resource, or HRM systems. Epicflow says its DataGuard cloud service can analyze project information while company data stays on premises. Its security page states GDPR compliance, ISO 27001-certified data centres, and penetration testing to British MOD standards. Growth costs €22.50 per user per month, billed annually, or €25.00 per user per month, billed monthly; both options cover 20 to 50 users, up to 50 projects, and a maximum of 250 tasks. A 30-day trial is available, with unlimited users and a weekly 30-minute support call. Enterprise pricing is on request and its listed capacity starts at 50 users, with unlimited projects and 2000+ tasks.
Phoenix APS
Phoenix APS helps planners build feasible production schedules across machines, people, and tools while accounting for calendars, setups, dependencies, and material availability. It enforces capacity limits on machines, lines, and human skills, and models parallel, alternative, and sequential routings at operation level. Machines, operators, and equipment can be scheduled together. Calendar handling includes closures and working-time changes, while dependencies support finish-to-start relationships with configurable lags. Material checks use bill-of-material availability with Fixed or Proportional quantities and AtStart, Uniform, or AtEnd laws. Planners can change assignments and rules to see the impact; infeasible jobs can be parked with reasons and retried using targeted relaxations. The interface includes a Gantt timeline, operations table, quick filters, and a what-if solver. HTTP JSON endpoints let ERP or MES systems send master data and retrieve dated plans. The maker describes the approach as heuristic and rule-based, aimed at fast, explainable feasible plans, with optimization modules on the roadmap. A free beta evaluation installer is available for Windows, but its temporary license does not permit production use. The project is described as personal and non-commercial.
