In their own words
Event Smart
Event Smart lets organizers build event websites that accept registrations and payments or sell tickets. It is described for classes, conferences, workshops, trainings, seminars, socials, performances, festivals, and fundraisers. Organizers can create multiple ticket or registration types, collect attendee details, and download attendee lists. Event Smart says it charges no commission or per-ticket ticketing fee, although payment gateways may charge transaction fees. Named payment services include Stripe, PayPal, Square, and Authorize.net. Confirmation emails can link to virtual events hosted through Zoom, Google Hangouts, GoToMeeting, or another service. The free Basic plan permits unlimited events but displays ads, and several functions are paid upgrades. Personal costs $50 a month, billed monthly; Business costs $100 a month, billed monthly. Business includes emailed QR or barcode tickets and scanning, promo codes, waitlists, an event cart, and Google Analytics. New accounts receive a 14-day Business trial without billing information. After the trial, premium features are removed while event and attendee data are retained.
Eventleaf
Eventleaf is an event management platform for registration, on-site entry, attendee engagement, exhibitions, and proposal workflows. Organizers can create event websites and forms, handle group registrations, waitlists, tiered tickets, and payment collection, and collect abstracts or proposals for review and scheduling. For check-in, staff can scan invitation barcodes, print custom badges, use self-check-in kiosks, and check attendees into sessions or venues. Engagement tools include polls, Q&A, surveys, messaging, networking, and gamification. Exhibition functions cover booth sales and selection on an interactive floor map, plus lead capture by scanning badges or invitation barcodes. Eventleaf is listed for Android, iOS, web, and Windows. It has a free plan and free trial. Basic costs $500 a year and Professional costs $2,000 a year; both list unlimited events and users, with different minimum attendee counts. The maker introduced desktop software in 2012 and launched a cloud-based version in 2015.
