In their own words
eWire
eWire helps startups prepare and distribute press releases. Users describe an announcement in plain language, and the service says 100 words is enough to start a draft. Its AI produces an AP-style release with a headline, dateline, body, boilerplate and contact section. Distribution can send a release to 500+ news outlets, Google News and eWire’s subscriber list, with pickup analytics; published releases may also travel through partner networks. The editorial requirements remain substantial: a genuine news announcement, AP style, at least 300 words and all required sections. The free plan costs nothing and includes AI drafting and scoring, unlimited drafts and PDF output, but no distribution. Starter costs $49 a month and includes four releases monthly. An API endpoint and Model Context Protocol server support AI-agent submissions and drafting or distribution without the UI. Draft text is sent to AI providers; unpublished drafts are deleted 90 days after their last edit, while published releases remain indefinitely as public record.
PressPilot
PressPilot is a press release platform for writing, distribution and campaign tracking. It is aimed at founders, PR agencies and lean communications teams, and the maker says it works best for teams sending 1 to 10 campaigns a month. Users can search a reported database of 46,701 verified journalist contacts across 78 countries, then filter by beat, outlet type, location or engagement history. AI can generate releases in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese for five credits each. Campaign reports track opens, clicks and replies in real time and can be exported as CSV or PDF. Each account also includes a branded newsroom on the user’s domain, with release archives and media embeds. PressPilot offers web and API access, plus integrations that vary by plan: HubSpot on Growth and Scale, Zapier automation, and webhooks on Growth. The maker says data is stored in the EU and lists GDPR-related features. A free plan includes five credits for new accounts; Startup costs €19 a month, excluding VAT. PressPilot does not guarantee a release will lead to publication.
