Overview

FAX.PLUS is an online fax service for individuals and organizations that need to send and receive faxes across web, mobile and connected workflows. Its strongest fit is a team that needs number and member administration alongside integrations; occasional personal use can start free, but only for 10 pages total.

Its broad number, channel and workflow options are balanced by plan-specific page ceilings and sharp differences in team capacity. Choose a tier against both monthly volume and the number of people who need access.

Key features

FAX.PLUS supports inbound faxing, virtual numbers, and sending to over 180 countries. Numbers are available in 48 countries, with local, toll-free and international options, and existing numbers can be ported. That range suits businesses handling fax traffic across locations; the 48-country number availability is distinct from the broader sending coverage.

Workflow support spans Google Workspace, Microsoft, Slack, Zapier, Teams, cloud storage and APIs. Fax broadcasting can send one document securely to up to 500 recipients with delivery tracking, while AI can convert faxes into searchable text and structured data. Those features are useful when faxing is part of a repeatable business process rather than an occasional standalone task.

Stored documents use 256-bit AES encryption and transfers use TLS 1.2 or higher. Faxes can be stored in a chosen region among more than 40, and the service cites SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, GDPR and CCPA compliance support. These are relevant capabilities for organizations with security and regional-storage requirements, though the service's compliance support alone does not establish that a particular use meets an organization's obligations.

Team administrators can manage members, roles, access to fax numbers and usage limits. Plans allow up to 10 files per fax and a 30MB maximum file size; the maximum pages in a fax also varies by tier, from 60 on Basic to 250 on Enterprise. Support includes a Help Center and support resources, with priority support on eligible plans.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 10 pages total. It is a low-commitment way to try a small amount of faxing, not a recurring monthly allowance.

Basic — 6.99 USD per month, billed monthly: 200 pages per month, one fax number, one member and up to 60 pages per fax. It fits an individual with regular but modest monthly volume.
Premium — 13.99 USD per month, billed monthly: 500 pages per month, one fax number, one member and up to 90 pages per fax. The higher quota suits a solo user whose traffic exceeds Basic's allowance; it still does not add another member or number.
Business — 27.99 USD per month, billed monthly: 1,000 pages per month, multiple fax numbers, five members and up to 200 pages per fax. This is the first listed tier built for a small team, with room for shared access and longer faxes.
Enterprise — 79.99 USD per month, billed monthly: 4,000 pages per month, multiple fax numbers, unlimited members and up to 250 pages per fax. It suits larger groups with higher volume, though the monthly quota remains finite.

Paid plans include a 30-day free period. Monthly plans renew monthly; annual plans renew once a year and can provide up to three months free, saving up to 22%. The listed plan prices are monthly; weigh the renewal term and annual savings against the commitment that best matches expected use.

Platforms

The listed platforms are web, Android and iOS. FAX.PLUS also supports desktop, email, Google and multifunction printers, extending use beyond its apps to office workflows.

Who it's for

FAX.PLUS is a strong fit for individuals who need a dedicated fax number and recurring monthly quota, and for teams that need multiple numbers, shared membership and administrative controls. Its international coverage, integrations, broadcasting and regional storage make it more compelling for organizations with established fax workflows than for someone sending only a few pages.

For occasional use, the 10-page lifetime free allowance may be enough to send a small batch, but it is quickly exhausted. Solo users needing more volume can move up to Premium, while groups should account for the jump to Business to get five included members and multiple numbers.

Pros and cons

Pro: Local, toll-free and international numbers, number porting, inbound faxing and sending to over 180 countries give organizations several ways to preserve or expand fax access.
Pro: Business and Enterprise add multiple numbers and substantial team capacity, with admin controls for roles, access and usage.
Pro: Broad integrations, 500-recipient broadcasting and AI extraction can connect faxing to document-heavy workflows.
Con: The free plan is only 10 pages total, so it is a trial-sized allowance rather than ongoing free service.
Con: Basic and Premium include only one member and one number; a team needing shared access must pay for Business or above.
Con: Page and per-fax limits still apply at every paid tier, reaching 4,000 pages monthly and 250 pages per fax only on Enterprise.

Alternatives

For a broader comparison, see Online Fax Services.

Dropbox Fax (formerly HelloFax) is worth comparing if web-only sending and a free outbound allowance suit the job; its free tier is sending-only, with inbound faxing requiring a paid account.
ETHERFAX is an option for buyers seeking cloud fax services with API, self-hosted and desktop-platform support; pricing is custom.
FaxTerra is a fit for light sending to the US and Canada: its free plan offers 10 pages monthly for those destinations, unlike FAX.PLUS's 10-page total allowance.
OVHcloud Fax may suit buyers seeking a paid fax service with a dedicated number and a low listed starting price of 0.99 EUR per month.
WestFax is another paid option for desktop and mobile access; its Solo plan is 14.99 USD per month for 500 pages and one user license.
TELUS Cloud Fax is a paid alternative with a single-number plan at 14.95 USD per month and a 300-page monthly split between inbound and outbound faxing.
Abbax Cloud Fax is worth considering when Linux or API support is important; its Solo plan is 24.99 USD per month for 300 pages, one user and one number.
FaxBurner offers a free plan with a disposable number, 25 inbound pages per month and five outbound pages total for users prioritizing inbound faxing.

Verdict

Choose FAX.PLUS if you need an online fax service that can scale from one user to a managed team, with multiple number options, international reach and workflow integrations. Its main advantage is breadth across fax channels and team operations; its main drawback is that meaningful ongoing free use is absent and shared access starts at a much higher tier than the solo plans. For occasional faxing, start with the 10-page free allowance; for regular or team use, match the page quota and included seats to actual demand before committing.
