Overview

Fee Free Ordering combines direct online ordering with reservations, optional AI phone ordering and restaurant operations tools. It is best suited to independent restaurants that want to start small and add specific services as needed. Its free entry point is useful, but the order cap and separately priced capabilities can make a fuller setup costly.

Key features

Ordering channels: Restaurants can offer pickup, delivery, dine-in and catering through a branded ordering page. Availability controls help manage when customers can place orders, while the separate kitchen app turns an iPhone, iPad or Android tablet into an order station and can alert staff to unaccepted orders.
Phone ordering: Nabil AI takes orders through the restaurant’s existing checkout and sends them to the kitchen display and ticket printer. It checks items against the menu, reads back the order and total, and hands allergy questions to staff. That makes it more than a call-answering feature, but restaurants should account for its separate trial and pricing terms.
Customer and marketing tools: Reports, a customer list with CSV export and promotions support basic follow-up. Kickstarter is $9.99 USD per month for first-order and win-back campaigns. Advanced Promo Marketing is $19.99 USD per month and includes 13 promo types, five free, plus a guided wizard. The lower-priced option is focused; the higher-priced tier gives restaurants more promotional formats to work with.
Payments and drivers: Online Payments costs $39.99 USD per month and routes card payments through the restaurant’s own Stripe or PayPal account. Driver Pool, at $9.99 USD per month, connects restaurants to the Shipday driver network. These add-ons target distinct needs, but a restaurant requiring both will pay for them separately.
Privacy and support: Fee Free says it does not sell data; its privacy policy names Stripe, Resend, PrintNode, ShipDay, Google Maps and Sentry as service providers it may share data with to deliver the service. Users can email support to request a data copy or deletion. The site provides a support phone number and describes its support as real human Canadian support.

Pricing

The Core ordering platform is free forever, with 100 orders per month. That is a meaningful starting point for a low-volume restaurant, but not a generous allowance for a business expecting steady demand. Any paid add-on lifts the cap, and Unlimited Orders is offered at $14.99 USD per month with no per-order fees. A separate FREE Unlimited Orders plan is also priced at $14.99 USD per month; compare the terms before choosing between the two named options.

The lower-priced upgrades cover particular needs: Custom Domain is $9.99 USD per month to use a restaurant’s own domain with a hosted Fee Free site, while Domain Included is $14.99 USD per month for domain registration and connection. Sales Optimized Website costs $19.99 USD per month for a hosted SEO-ready marketing and ordering site. Multi-Location costs $49.99 USD per month and supports several locations in one account, each with its own menu, orders and payments.

The advertised starting price is $9.99 per month, but a restaurant may need more than one add-on to assemble its preferred setup. The free trial applies to Nabil AI for existing paying Fee Free members and lasts 7 days; it is not a general trial of the platform.

Platforms

Fee Free Ordering supports Android, iOS and the web. Its kitchen app can run on iPhone, iPad or Android tablets.

Who it's for

Independent restaurants that want direct ordering, a choice of order types and the option to add tools as they grow are the clearest fit. The founder is identified as the owner/operator of Luigi’s Lasagna & Pizzeria, aligning the product’s stated focus with independent restaurant operations. The capped free plan is more suitable for low volume than for a restaurant already handling many monthly orders. Businesses that need a broad set of paid capabilities should compare the combined monthly cost against alternatives.

Pros and cons

Pro: The free plan gives a restaurant an ordering starting point without a monthly charge, and the 100-order cap is lifted by any paid add-on.
Pro: Pickup, delivery, dine-in and catering sit alongside a kitchen app and optional phone ordering, covering multiple parts of the order flow.
Pro: Payments go to the restaurant’s own Stripe or PayPal account, rather than requiring a separate payment destination.
Con: The free plan’s 100 orders per month can constrain a growing restaurant, while unlimited ordering costs $14.99 USD per month.
Con: Payments, driver access, domains, marketing and multi-location support carry separate monthly prices, so the advertised starting price may not reflect the total cost of a more complete setup.
Con: Nabil’s 7-day free trial is limited to existing paying Fee Free members, making it unavailable as a standalone test for other prospective users.

Alternatives

Ordering.Tools is worth comparing for a restaurant that wants a free plan with 20 orders per month, no commission and an AI assistant; its AI questions and voice calls are subject to usage limits.

Quiteful is a freemium alternative for a restaurant focused on menu management: its free plan allows 20 active items, one menu and one location, with no analytics dashboard or POS integrations.

GloriaFood may suit a restaurant that prioritizes unlimited orders and locations on a free service plan with no commission per order or monthly fee.

Restolabs is a paid alternative with a 30-day trial and a Basic plan priced at $199.00 USD per month for zero-commission unlimited orders.

FineDine is another paid option, with a Starter plan at €27.00 EUR per month billed annually and limits including 100 menu items, 20 dine-in tables, 1,000 monthly orders and 50 monthly reservations.

UpMenu Delivery is a paid alternative for restaurants seeking order management with POS and kitchen integration and delivery dispatching; its Delivery POS plan is $29.00 USD per month, excluding VAT/GST.

Prestau Menu Author is an alternative to consider for menu authoring, with a web-based free option and a Standard Plan at $49.00 USD per month per restaurant.

RestioX is another freemium option with a free trial package that includes 100 dishes, 10 categories, 100 delivery orders per month, two staff members and one branch.

Verdict

Fee Free Ordering is a sensible fit for an independent restaurant that wants direct ordering with several channels and a low-cost way to begin. Its kitchen workflow and optional AI phone ordering broaden the offering, but the 100-order free cap and separate monthly charges are the main reasons to look elsewhere if you need higher volume or a full set of capabilities at a predictable price.
