In their own words
Fieldwork
Fieldwork is field service management software for residential and commercial service businesses, including pest control, lawn care, and pool service. Its visual calendar helps teams book appointments, coordinate technicians, and manage routes. Customer records sit in its CRM, and a portal gives customers access to invoices, contracts, and work history. Android and iOS apps support field work orders and can operate offline. Pest-control teams can scan device barcodes and record station condition, captures, bait condition, and other data. Chemical records can include EPA registration numbers, active ingredients, dilution rates, application methods, and targeted areas; they are kept online for three years. The software can generate pesticide usage logs required by California and New York. Plans are billed per field user, with office staff free. Startup costs $59 per month per field user and includes QuickBooks integration; Pro adds Zapier and API access. A 14-day trial includes full access, training, and support, with no credit card required. Fieldwork is based in Niles, Illinois.
Plannit
Plannit is lawn care business software for managing recurring schedules, routes, customers, quotes, invoices, and payments. It supports seasonal visits and crew assignments, with optimized driving routes, employee GPS tracking, a mobile punch clock, job checklists, and in-app team chat. Customer records can include multiple addresses, searchable histories, notes, and linked messages. Estimate and invoice templates, customizable quotes, contract renewals, and online payments cover office and field work. Accounting interfaces for QuickBooks, Sage, and Acomba can sync invoices and payments. The included mobile app handles communications, jobs, and field information. The free plan costs nothing, supports two users, and limits job tracking to 25 jobs per month. Pro costs $59 a month billed monthly, or $49/mo. billed annually. A credit card is required to start a paid-plan trial, but it is not charged if the trial is canceled before it ends. Listed platforms are Android, iOS, macOS, web, and Windows.
