Overview

Finago eTasku is a service for sending receipts, travel expense reports and other business documents to bookkeeping. It is best suited to businesses that want several ways to submit paperwork and calculate travel allowances, especially those whose accountant works with eTasku.

The range of submission routes and shared storage is useful, but the free plan is limited to reading documents the accountant adds. Businesses that need to send their own receipts and expense reports must budget for PRO’s annual subscription.

Key features

The mobile app captures receipts, uses OCR to recognize their data and lets users send saved receipts to the accountant. Receipts can also be forwarded by email as JPG or PDF, shared from other apps or added through the web portal. These alternatives suit teams with paperwork arriving through different channels; OCR is a convenience, not a reason to assume every receipt will be handled without correction.

For travel expenses, eTasku calculates mileage reimbursements and domestic and foreign daily allowances from trip details. That makes it relevant to businesses managing both receipts and travel claims, rather than only digitizing purchase slips. A shared document space can hold materials such as payroll information, insurance certificates, meeting minutes and invoices.

Integrations include Procountor, Netvisor, Fivaldi, Fennoa, Briox, SAP and Visma Nova, among others. That breadth may help connect eTasku with an existing bookkeeping setup, but businesses should confirm that their own accounting system is supported. Accounting firms and accountants can use the service for free, and the accountant web portal requires no installation.

The maker says stored receipts are retained for at least six years, backed up on three independent servers and remain downloadable after service use ends. Finago says its renewed ISO 27001:2022 certificate covers nearly all Finago operations. Support is available through a help portal, weekday messaging from 09:00 to 16:00 and weekday phone support from 09:00 to 12:00. The maker also advertises a free company card for eTasku customers, with credit, prepaid or both card types available.

Pricing

eTasku is freemium, and prices exclude VAT. The paid subscription has a 30-day trial; its 12-month term is an important commitment when comparing the per-user monthly price.

Plan	Price and term	What it includes
DOKUMENTTI	0.00 EUR per month; 12-month subscription period; VAT added.	Read access to documents added by the accountant.
PRO	10.90 EUR per month per user; billed as a 12-month subscription (€130.80 per user after trial); VAT added.	Receipts, travel expense reports and other documents for bookkeeping.
ENTERPRISE	Custom pricing; 12-month subscription period; VAT added.	For companies with more than 50 users; request an offer.

DOKUMENTTI is appropriate when employees only need to read material their accountant provides; it does not cover sending the business’s own documents. PRO is the practical choice for submitting receipts and expense reports, with the annual charge reaching €130.80 per user after the trial, before VAT. Companies with more than 50 users can seek an Enterprise offer, but should compare its quoted terms against their needs. The free company card is an additional advertised option, not a substitute for comparing the subscription plans.

Platforms

eTasku runs on Android, iOS and the web. Mobile apps support receipt capture, while the web portal provides another route for adding documents; accountants can access their portal without installing software.

Who it's for

Choose eTasku if your business wants to funnel receipts and other paperwork to bookkeeping, submit travel claims with mileage and allowance calculations, and keep related business documents together. Its multiple intake routes are useful where paperwork does not arrive in one consistent format or channel. It is less suitable if you need a genuinely free plan for submitting your own documents, or if your accountant’s accounting system is not among the integrations you can use.

Pros and cons

Pros

Flexible receipt intake: Mobile capture, email forwarding, sharing from other apps and web upload give users several ways to submit receipts.
Travel calculations: Mileage reimbursement and domestic and foreign daily allowances are calculated from trip details, extending the service beyond receipt handling.
Shared document storage: Teams can keep payroll, insurance, meeting and invoice documents alongside bookkeeping materials.
Accountant-friendly access: Accountants and accounting firms can use eTasku for free, and their web portal needs no installation.

Cons

The free plan is read-only: Businesses must move to PRO to submit receipts, travel expense reports or other documents for bookkeeping.
PRO is an annual per-user commitment: The stated €10.90 per month is billed for 12 months, or €130.80 per user after the trial, with VAT added.
Enterprise requires a quote: Companies with more than 50 users cannot compare it using a published price.

Alternatives

For a broader set of receipt-management options, browse Receipt Management Software.

ExpenseBot may suit accounting or bookkeeping practices that want free client management, though clients need their own subscription or account for scanning.

Receipt Reader AI is an option for users who want a scan-capped free plan: it includes 10 AI scans per month, one account and PDF export, while Personal provides 50 scans per month for 5.99 USD per month.

ReceiptsAI offers 30 one-time credits on its free plan, with one processed page using one credit; it may fit occasional extraction needs better than eTasku’s bookkeeping workflow.

Veryfi Invoices OCR API is aimed at invoice-processing workloads, with its Starter plan priced at 500.00 USD per month minimum commitment and invoices at $0.16 each.

AutoEntry is a paid alternative with no free plan; its Bronze tier costs 13.00 USD per month, includes 50 credits and unlimited users, and allows unused credits to carry for up to 90 days.

OCR Receipt is another receipt OCR option.

Parsio Receipt OCR has a free plan with 30 credits per month, 30-day data retention and one user, which may suit a small-volume, single-user workflow.

Receipt Stash is a paid alternative with no free plan; its 25-document tier costs 6.00 USD per month plus $0.29 for each additional document.

Verdict

Finago eTasku is a strong fit for businesses that want receipt capture, travel expense calculations and shared business-document storage feeding into bookkeeping, particularly when their accountant already uses it. Multiple submission routes and free accountant access are compelling strengths. Look elsewhere if you require free document submission or cannot justify PRO’s annual per-user charge; DOKUMENTTI alone only lets users read what their accountant adds.
