Overview

Fitnito is a management tool for independent gyms, studios and fitness instructors. It is best for small operators who want members to book their own classes and need to sell both memberships and visit packs. The free plan is a genuine starting point, but its tight capacity limits make the paid plans the more practical choice once a timetable grows.

Key features

Operators can schedule one-off or weekly classes, set capacity, assign coaches and review bookings on a Monday–Sunday calendar. That gives a small team a clear way to coordinate its timetable; the free allowance of two weekly recurring sessions will quickly constrain businesses running several regular classes.

Each gym gets a member booking site where clients can reserve or cancel classes themselves, shifting routine booking changes away from staff. Punch-card visit packs and unlimited memberships cover distinct ways to sell access, while low-balance tracking helps staff spot members who may need to renew a pack.

The built-in AI assistant can help with setup and handle questions or scheduling and member tasks in plain English. Fitnito also offers an MCP connection for Cursor, Grok, Claude and ChatGPT, which requires gym-owner sign-in and approval. These options may appeal to owners looking to streamline routine administration, though the key benefit remains the underlying scheduling and booking workflow.

Fitnito Payments is optional and uses Stripe for recurring billing, visit packs, refunds and payouts to a gym’s bank account. Stripe handles and encrypts card details; Fitnito describes card storage as PCI-compliant and tokenized. The privacy policy also identifies SSL/TLS transmission encryption, encrypted storage, access controls, security audits, updates and monitoring. Fitnito says it does not sell personal information, while noting that it may use third-party providers for payments, email, hosting, storage and analytics.

Failed-payment recovery, membership freezes, refunds and flexible billing frequency are supported. These address common membership-management needs, although payment processing is an optional integration rather than a requirement for using the scheduling product. Help guides are available, and support usually replies within a day and always within 2–3 business days.

Pricing

Starter Plan: Free, billed forever. It includes one location, one program, one pass type, up to five staff members and two weekly recurring sessions. This is a sensible way for a solo trainer or very small operation to begin, but the location, program and session caps leave little headroom for expansion.

Monthly Plan: 34.95 USD per month, billed per month, with unlimited everything, lower Fitnito Payments fees, premium features and rapid support. A 30-day free trial is included. It suits a business that needs room to grow without committing to annual billing.

Yearly Plan: 349.95 USD per year, billed per year, with the same unlimited scope, lower payment fees, premium features and rapid support, plus a 30-day free trial. It is the annual alternative for operators comfortable paying by the year. The free plan avoids a recurring charge but trades away capacity; both paid plans remove the stated limits.

Platforms

Fitnito runs on Android, iOS and the web, giving members and operators access across mobile and browser platforms.

Who it's for

Fitnito is aimed at independent fitness businesses, including gyms, yoga studios, martial arts schools and bootcamps. Its combination of class scheduling, member self-service and passes is particularly relevant to operators with recurring classes and more than one way to sell access. A business with multiple locations or a broad timetable will need a paid plan; Fitnito is less compelling for a small operation that can manage within its free caps but does not need the integrated membership and booking features.

Pros and cons

Pros: Members can book and cancel classes directly, reducing routine staff involvement.
Pros: Visit packs and unlimited memberships cover both per-visit and ongoing access, with low-balance tracking for packs.
Pros: The free tier has no recurring charge, and the paid plans offer unlimited scope with a 30-day trial.
Cons: The free plan is capped at one location, one program, one pass type, five staff and two weekly recurring sessions, limiting its usefulness for a growing timetable.
Cons: Fitnito Payments is optional, so operators seeking its billing and payout functions must choose to use the Stripe integration.

Alternatives

Gym141 is worth considering for operators who want a self-hosted option: its free plan supports up to 25 active members and includes the full feature set under an MIT license.

Clubworx may suit a smaller club whose needs fit its free allowance of 20 active members, one website, online booking and payment acceptance.

Sport School Manager is an alternative for schools that need unlimited students, priority support and dedicated onboarding in its 89.00 USD per month School Plan, with a 90-day free trial.

FightKit is another option for martial arts businesses, with a paid Starter plan at 19.00 GBP per month and a maker who is a Krav Maga instructor.

Gymdesk is a paid alternative whose listed Gymdesk plan costs 75.00 USD per month for up to 50 members.

GymMaster may fit operators looking for paid membership software, with its Foundation plan priced at 89.00 USD per month for 100 current members.

Kicksite is aimed at student-based programs, with its 0–25 students plan at 49.00 USD per month and all features included.

MyStudio is an alternative for businesses seeking a paid package with unlimited students, a built-in website and member app, rank and belt tracking, and online sales and payments; its Essentials plan is 79.00 USD per month.

Verdict

Fitnito is a strong fit for an independent gym or studio that wants a member booking site alongside class scheduling, passes and optional Stripe payments. Its free plan makes the first step inexpensive, but the strict timetable and staffing caps make it a trial tier rather than a lasting home for a growing business. Choose a paid plan for unlimited scope; look elsewhere if self-hosting, a larger free member allowance or a more specialized student-management plan matters more.
