Overview

WeStrive combines coaching tools and client billing in one service, with a free tier for a single active client and paid plans that expand by roster size. Its mix of workout programming, nutrition planning and scheduled follow-up is most useful to trainers who want to run ongoing client work through one platform.

That client-based pricing makes the starting point clear, but each increase in roster capacity raises the monthly cost. Coaches whose client count sits near a tier boundary should weigh that step-up against the value of keeping their workflows together.

Key features

The program builder handles timed circuits, AMRAP and Tabata workouts, along with habits, surveys and daily tasks. More than 1,500 exercise videos provide a sizable library for building programs, while nutrition plans can draw on over one million foods and 10,000 recipes. That breadth suits coaches who combine exercise and food guidance; it may be more than needed for trainers focused only on delivering workouts.

Coaches can schedule messages, surveys, daily habits, chained programs and monthly recurring payments. Automating those recurring touchpoints can reduce routine administration, while progress graphs and habit tracking give clients and coaches a way to follow changes over time. The mobile app supports programs, habits and progress tracking, and is available in more than 14 languages.

The integrations directory includes Stripe, YouTube, Zapier, Club Automation, Vimeo, Apple Health, Google Fit, nutrition software and Fit3D. These connections span payments, media, activity data and other services. WeStrive says it does not store card details and that its payment processors meet PCI-DSS standards. It also says Google Fit data is not used or sold for advertising, users choose what to import, and they can request deletion. The service uses Microsoft Azure and MongoDB and says it follows modern security practices.

Pricing

WeStrive is freemium, with a 14-day trial and paid plans priced by client capacity. Coaches are billed per client, and archived clients do not count toward the bill.

First Client: Free for up to 1 active client; includes payment processing, a free custom website and group messaging. This is a useful way to start with one client, but it is not a free tier for a growing roster.
Personal Trainer — 2 clients: $10/month for 2 clients, the lowest paid tier and a fit for a small roster.
Personal Trainer — 3–5 clients: $19/month for up to 5 clients.
Personal Trainer — 6–15 clients: $39/month for up to 15 clients.
Personal Trainer — 16–30 clients: $60/month for up to 30 clients.
Personal Trainer — 31–50 clients: $85/month for up to 50 clients.
Personal Trainer — 51–75 clients: $110/month for up to 75 clients.
Personal Trainer — 76–100 clients: $130/month for up to 100 clients.
Personal Trainer — 101–200 clients: $200/month for up to 200 clients.
Personal Trainer — 200+ clients: $250/month for 200+ clients.

The published prices make smaller-roster budgeting straightforward, while the free plan’s one-client cap and paid tiers’ rising cost make WeStrive less compelling for coaches who need substantial capacity at a low fixed price. Archived clients do not use billable capacity, which helps when a coach’s active workload fluctuates.

Platforms

WeStrive is available on web, iOS and Android. Clients can use the app on iOS and Android, or access the service through westrive.com and train.westrive.com. Coaches who prefer a desktop workflow can use the web service alongside client mobile access.

Who it's for

WeStrive is a strong fit for independent trainers and gyms coordinating programs, nutrition, progress tracking and client billing across an active roster. Its free one-client tier also gives a new coach room to begin before paying. It is a weaker fit for a coach who needs broad client capacity without a rising per-client bill, or who only needs a narrow workout-delivery tool.

Pros and cons

Pro: The builder covers structured workout formats as well as habits, surveys and daily tasks, so coaches can organize more than exercise prescriptions.
Pro: Nutrition planning, progress graphs and automation sit alongside program delivery, supporting recurring coaching work in one service.
Pro: The free plan includes payment processing, a custom website and group messaging for one active client.
Con: Free capacity stops at one active client, and paid plans scale with the roster, which can make growth more expensive.
Con: The available plan descriptions distinguish primarily by client count, so coaches seeking a cheaper plan with a narrower feature set have no such tier shown.

My PT Hub is worth considering if you want a comparable cross-platform coaching service but do not need a free plan; its Starter tier is $22.50 per month when paid monthly on an annual term and covers 3 clients, 50 workouts and 50 nutrition plans.

ABC Trainerize is a fit if you want to start free with one client or pay $9.00 per month for two client seats on Grow, though it supports iOS and Android rather than web.

Trainerfu is another freemium iOS, Android and web option; choose it if you specifically want a branded app, offered at $75.00 per month.

CoachRx may suit coaches seeking a paid service with iOS, Android and web access, while its plan prices are custom pricing.

Coach Catalyst is an alternative for coaches wanting a paid plan with capacity up to 100 clients and one community for $108.00 per month.

Everfit offers a free Starter tier for up to 5 clients, making it a sensible alternative if you need more free client capacity; its Pro plan is $16.00 per month.

FitPros.io is another free option, with unlimited clients, a workout builder, client apps, website builder, forms and habit tracking; it has no free trial.

FitSW is worth comparing if you want a free plan and a selectable client limit from 5 to 1,000 on its $16.66-per-month Premium for Trainers tier.

Verdict

Choose WeStrive if you want one platform for programming, nutrition, tracking, scheduled client communication and billing, and your roster fits its client-count tiers. Look elsewhere if a one-client free cap or rising monthly cost as your roster grows would outweigh the convenience of keeping those coaching tools together.
