Overview

NextMe is a virtual waiting room for businesses managing guest flow. Guests can join through a branded form using a QR code, kiosk tablet, or business website, while staff handle appointments alongside walk-ins. That combination makes it a practical fit for venues with variable arrivals and more than one way of serving guests.

Its stated use cases range from retail, hospitality, healthcare, urgent care, veterinary clinics, salons, and barbershops to events. NextMe says it supports events from 1,000 to over 100,000 attendees, so its intended reach extends from local service queues to large gatherings.

Key features

Waitlists and check-in

Predictive wait times, real-time status updates, repeat-guest recognition, custom fields, and custom queues give teams useful ways to organize different visits. Two-way SMS lets guests and staff communicate during the wait. QR, kiosk, and website check-in reduce reliance on staff entering every arrival, though SMS quotas make the paid tier choice important for teams that send frequent updates.

Appointments and analytics

Bookings sit alongside walk-ins, with text confirmations and appointment reminders helping teams manage both kinds of arrivals in one workflow. The analytics dashboard reports guest volume, wait times, peak periods, and queue performance, and exports to CSV or Excel. That is a stronger reporting toolkit than a basic guest list, particularly for operators who need to review busy periods or queue performance.

Integrations and privacy

NextMe offers integrations and a private API, with a public API coming soon. Its privacy policy says subscriber data is encrypted at rest and that the company does not sell personally identifiable information or protected health information. Data anonymization and deletion controls are available, and anonymized data can preserve access to aggregate statistics.

Pricing

The free plan costs 0.00 USD per free and includes 100 SMS per month and one user. It is a sensible starting point for a single operator with light messaging, but the low seat and message caps make it a poor fit for a busy team.

Starter costs 59.99 USD per month, or 49.99 USD per year, billed annually for a yearly savings of $120. It includes 3,000 SMS per month and five users, making it the first practical step for a small team that needs shared access. Business costs 99.99 USD per month, or 79.99 USD per year, billed annually for a yearly savings of $240; its 5,000 SMS and ten users suit larger teams or higher message volumes. Both paid tiers offer more room than Free, but the quotas still matter for operations sending frequent guest updates.

Custom pricing applies to the Custom plan, which offers flexible limits and users. A free 14 day trial is also offered. Custom customers receive one-to-one onboarding and product training; event support packages can include guaranteed response times and after-hours coverage.

Platforms

NextMe runs on Android, iOS, and the web, giving teams options across mobile and browser use.

Who it's for

NextMe is a strong match for service businesses that need a digital queue, guest notifications, and appointment handling together. Its broad range of stated settings and high-volume event support make it worth considering for both everyday operations and large gatherings. A solo business with modest SMS use can start free; teams needing more seats or frequent texts should budget for Starter or Business.

Pros and cons

Pros: QR, kiosk, and website check-in give guests multiple ways to join without waiting in a physical line.
Pros: Walk-in queues and appointments share a workflow, with confirmations and reminders sent by text.
Pros: Queue analytics and CSV or Excel exports support review of volume, waits, peak periods, and performance.
Cons: Free allows only one user and 100 SMS per month, limiting its usefulness for teams or high-volume messaging.
Cons: Even Business is capped at ten users and 5,000 SMS per month, so larger operations may need custom pricing.

Waitlist Me may suit a basic guest list and same-day reservations, though its free plan has no notifications and limited customization.

EazyQ has a free plan with a queue of five concurrent customers, 100 customers per month, 20 appointments per month, 20 AI receptionist chats per month, and one staff seat. Verdict

Choose NextMe if your service business needs one system for digital check-in, walk-in queues, appointments, guest texts, and queue reporting. Its main strength is bringing those workflows together across several check-in channels. Look elsewhere if your team needs more users or SMS than the paid caps allow, or if a simpler booking or guest-list tool better matches your operation.
